@YOrbiTer 12 Actually, that would be nearly impossible. Thomas was built and sold in 1915 to Sodor, Rosie and her siblings were went to Southampton during the 1940's, to help with the war effort, so here's my theory. Thomas would probably know Rosie during the Second World War, where she was sent to Sodor. She proved far greater then the E2, which made Thomas jealous and worried for his siblings. But during the 60's, when Diesels started to replace Steam, he had sympathy for Rosie, and then the two would be made friends. So there.

Unlike Thomas, LB&SCR E2 class locomotives weren’t useful. The E2s were limited to only some parts of the docks because they were too long for some of the tight corners and were prone to derailing. They were originally built for light passenger trains but were unreliable for long distance.

You know, I fell like a.lot of the comments in this comment section are of people just flat out bashing the E2's, surely there are far worse engines out there, like this one engine Chris Eden-Green brought up when he was talking about his least favorites that was basically just a big old loafs of bread with railway equivalents of monster truck tires attached to it.(No I'm not talking about the bullets I'm describing a completely different class). Surely even the E2's couldn't have been worse then those, ABOMINATIONS of locomotives I just described, and no I'm not saying this because of thomas, I've heard arguments of that from miles away, I'm simply just concerned of the overwhelming negativity thrown towards the E2's, why can't we have one around as a teaching tool or a static display, hell, why can't why just simply build one without the internet going into a frenzy? How much would it cost, as much as Scotsman? A Ducking Big Boy? Surely It wouldn't be THAT big of a problem...

Awful brakes, horribly balanced, couldn't pull passenger trains faster than walking pace. They were unsuitable for the docks, being a bit too long, had water tanks that were too small. Were less powerful then the S100s, slower then the 5700s, and heavier then the older E1. Only 10 were even ever made. This says that the LBSCR knew they were crap. They shared the I2 boiler, which was rubbish for all but shunting. They made the first five, realised they couldn't go as far as the engines they were replacing, then glued a bit more on them. Which didn't help. They had shorter working lives then the 70 of the E1s and the 90 of the A1s, as these were more flexible, faster, and lighter. The E2 was good for very little, and why anyone would want one over, say, an LNWR Coal Tank is beyond me.

The website for this has been set up for free, by some teenage fanboy. It lacks any substance such as a donate facility. I predict it will never happen.

Put one of our E classes (either the 2-4-2 or 0-6-2) and they’d do better than an E2

I've especially learned that the L B S C railway's creation of the E2 class tank engines were mainly used for shunting duties, but they'd also took short distance goods trains while also apparently pulling passengers from time to time until their demise of getting cut up by the Scrapper's torch by the year of 1963 after getting replaced by diesel-electic locomotives!
