My wife has severe osteoporosis and I can not leave her for days at a time. I've been a backpacker all of my life in Boy Scouts and became an Eagle Scout. I am 73 and LONG to go "Into the woods" as John Muir but unfortunately I can not. BUT through you and Joey I can imagine what it would be like going where you go. I MISS IT SO! So thank you both so much for taking me to the place I can not go just now. Only God knows just how much I miss being in the High Sierras. I've done Mt Whitney 3 times and oh so many trails there from Lone Pine to Mammoth and beyond. I do have the memories but you will never know just how much I appreciate sharing where you guys go.....It does my heart good!

This reminds me of a horse packing trip I did in the Sierras in the 1970s when I was a kid. It was August. It snowed on us the first night. We didn’t have near enough warm clothes. Spent a very cold night in a soaking wet ( not water proof) tent with no floor pads. My sister got the flu. The ride back down the mountain was also terrifying.

This one reminded me of going on a canoe trip from Ely Minnesota up into the Canadian wilderness. That was back in 1972, i went with the Explorer Post i joined after theBoy Scouts. Portaging from lake to lake about 100 miles or so into Canada. It was during August so we avoided the cold weather but the mosquitoes and biting flies were quite prevalent. It was an experience ill never forget. Too old to even think about doing something like that now. I really enjoy your videos so that i can go places in the outdoors without getting out of my easy chair. Thank You for all your hard work. Keep posting and I'll keep watching.
