Pemarvi, it's fantastic. I know "Rainbow" since ~1982, but at the moment I prefer smth like death metal (this is my own evolution: "Suffocation", "Cryptopsy" etc.). But this song is very special: if you listen to the long note actually extracted at 1:21-1:22 by Blackmore (just before "I remember..."), it was quite a bit higher than "the note to be extracted". It was brilliant!

Joe Lynn Turner has a fantastic voice - every Rainbow vocalist had a unique sound and were all well chosen by Blackmore. This is their most commercial song and I love it - Rondinelli really smashes his drums at the beginning. Difficult To Cure was my first Rainbow album and the tour date in Leicester was my first ever gig. Was buzzing last Saturday when I went to Birmingham to see the guitar God again. Ronnie Romero is good, Catch The Rainbow nearly brought a tear to my eye - someone behind me said that Dio would have loved it.

Приклоняюсь перед Блэкмором. Каких музыкантов и вокалистов выбирал. Они жили на сцене и. полностью растворялись в своем творчестве. До сих пор слушаю только старые рок-группы. Ненавижу попсу.

Lyrics: I Surrender I surrender to your heart babe Do anything that you want me to do Please be tender I'm in your hands girl This is a feeling I never knew You know I tried to make it on my own That's not the way it was meant to be Spend my time waiting by the phone Oh darling come back to me I surrender, I surrender I'm giving up the role of pretender Oh be tender, girl be tender Can't you feel the love that I send you I surrender. I remember, seems like a lifetime Can't believe it's a matter of days Since you left me I'm near to heartbreak I want you so bad don't turn away What does it take to stay by my side You know I'll do what you want me to Don't take away this feeling inside I'm still in love with you I surrender, I surrender I'm giving up the role of pretender I remember, I remember Can't you feel the love that I send you I surrender. I surrender, I surrender Darling now won't you be tender Surrender, oh surrender Feel the love that I send you I surrender.

Ritchie is very musically mature in Rainbow, despite of what haters say about him. He doesn't always play virtuoso in Rainbow but give the others members chances to show-off proportionally. As a songwriter he has ingenuity to to produce beautiful music. IMO Rainbow's genre of music is slighly softer than that of Deep Purple but the songs are richer. As a producer he has midas touch to turns all his bands into gold.
