After storms, several nests of oropendolas are destroyed and many times nestlings are found on the ground, abandoned, weak and cold in the night, and susceptible to predators. Here is one of our attempts to rescue the nestlings Amigo (on the left) and the famous Cuisco (on the right). Cuisco lived for many years part time interacting with visitors at Los Amigos Biological Station and part time with individuals of his own species.
