Some rare and rather bizarre action seen on Northern Railways: our Ghaziabad WAP7 powered 12313 Sealdah Rajdhani Express quietly sneaks into Ghaziabad, on the final leg of its journey towards Delhi. As we slide into one of Ghaziabad's platforms on the loop line, a stationary Rajdhani on the main line platform comes into view. I had initially thought that this was either an empty Rajdhani rake stationed at Ghaziabad or possibly the Guwahati, Patna or Bhubaneshwar Rajdhani, making way for their senior partner. However, to my absolutely shock, the stationary Rajdhani was none other than the 12301 Howrah Rajdhani, the King of ER! Our Sealdah Rajdhani quietly creaked through Ghaziabad, also overtaking the 14315 Bareilly New Delhi Intercity Express, and proceeded towards Sahibabad. It is important to note that we were bang on time at this point and if anything, the Howrah Rajdhani was probably a little delayed, but definitely by not more than 10 minutes. 10-15 minutes later, we reach Sahibabad where the tracks towards Delhi and New Delhi diverge and we are pushed into the loop line. Soon, the humming of generator cars become audible and the 12301 Howrah Rajdhani with a Ghaziabad WAP7 calmly comes in through the main line, and overtakes the Sealdah Rajdhani, quietly showing who is the ultimate boss amongst the various Rajdhanis in this section.
