you could do a firing with cone packs inside the kiln and test firing a variety of microwave programs (times) to see which cones melt and what cone the firings achieve. such as 06,05,04. It could be useful to know what cones melt at 10 minutes vs 8 minutes, etc.

I understand that a microwave dose not heat evenly so it is a good Idea to set stuff off center till you find the sweet spot. I picked up own of these little kilns some time ago and am dying to use once I get a new cooking microwave !!

Yes. In the video I talked about attempting to bisque them in the microwave...it's doable but very finicky so I just bisqued in the regular kiln.

Raku is never food safe or water tight, no matter how you fire.
