Lacious Zinyoro NO THAT IS NOT THE CASE. YOU READ YOUR HISTORY, AFRIKAN HISTORY ON IMMIGRATION. AFRIKA DEPORTS EACH OTHER EVERYDAY, THEY BUILD REFUGEE CAMPS AND DETENTION CENTRES. AND EVERY AFRIKAN COUNTRY, ALMOST EVERY COUNTRY WAS ONCE IN EXILE, HELPED BY THE COUNTRIES THEY DEPORT THIER CITIZENS. GO TO TANZANIA AS A REFUGEE TODAY, YOU WILL BE USSHERED TO A REFUGEE CAMP, GO TO ZAMBIA TODAY, AS AN AFRIKAN ASSYLUM SEEKER, YOU BE USSHERED TO A DETENTION CENTRE. THE PROBLEM WE HAVE IN SOUTH AFRIKA, IS OUR GOVT. PLAYING AFRIKA’S FATHER CHRISTMAS.BY NOT USING SENSIBLE IMMIGRATION POLICIES THWT YOUR COUNTRY, THE REST OF AFRIKA AND THE WORLD UESE, THIS IS NO BY ANY MEANS JUSTIFYING THE STUPIDITY AND CRUELTY OF THOSE WHO KILLED AFRIKAN IMMIGANTS. BUT BE FACTUAL AND STOP PRETENDING THAT SOUTH AFRIKA IS NOT ECONOMICALLY AND SOCIALLY OVERWHELMED BY THE HIGH INFLUX OF IMMIGRANTS, WHOM MOST OF THE. ARE UNDOCUMENTED. YOU WANT US TO ALLOW SOMETHING YOU AS AFRIKANS DO NOT ALLOW IN YOUR COUNTRIES, IS THAT THE AFRIKAN SPIRIT? CCRITICES US FOR KILLINGS AFRIKANS, CHASTISE US FOR BURNING THEIR BUSINESSED AND BE ANGRY WITH US FOR THAT, BRING SANCTIONS IF THAT IS WHAT YOU THINK IS RGHT. BAN US FROM YOUR COUNTRIES, YOU ARE RIGHT BECAUSE WE HAVE KILLED. BUT STOP LYING AND PREDENDING YOU DO NOT KNOW THAT THE ECONOMY OF SOUTH AFRIKA IS DYING, STOP PRETENDING THAT EVERY AFRIKAN COUNTRY IS FLOODED BY IMMIGRANTS LIKE SOUTH AFRIKA IS. STOP PRETENDING THAT YOU YOUSELVES OPEN YOUR BORDERS FOR OTHER AFRIKAN COUNTRIES LIKE WE HAVE STUPIDLY DONE. STOP PRETENDING THAT IT ONLY SOUTH AFRIKA THST WAS IN EXILE. STOP PRETENDING THAT YOUR COUNTRIES, AFTER INDEPENCE WERE FLOODED BY ALL OF AFRIKA’S ECONOMIC REFUGEES LIKE SOUTH AFRIKA IS RIGHT NOW. STOP PRETENDING THAT WHEN YOU GO TO NIGERIA, ZAMBIA NAMIBIA OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY YOU WILL ENTER AS A VITISOR, OF JUMP THE BORDER FENCE, ESTABLISH A BUSUNESS AND GET A JOB AS AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT, LIKE YOU ALL DO IN SOUTH AFRIKA. STOP PREDENDING THAT WE SOUTH AFRIKANS ARE IGNORANT OF THE AFRIKAN HISTORY. AS WE HAVE PRODUCED DIFFERENT LEADERSHIP IN THE SPHERE OF PAN-AFRIKANISM, WHICH DOES NOT TEACH THAT ONE COUNTRY SHOULD OPEN ITS BORDERS WHEN OTHER PAN-AFRIKANSIST COUNTRIES DO NOT, INSTEAD CLOSES THEIR BORDERS, HAVE REGUFEE CAMPS RIGHT NOW, ZAMBIA HAS DETENTION CENTRE, CAMEROON DEPORTS REFUGEES, NIGERIA DEPORTS GENUINE REFUGEES. NAMIBA DEPORTS ZIMBABWEANS AND ANGOLANS EVEN THOUGH THE BIGGEST NAMIBIAN MILITARY CAMP DURING THE STRUGGLE WAS IN ANGOLA. ZIMBABWE DEPORTED ZAMBIANS AFTER ITS INDEPENDENCD, EVEN WHEN IT HAD ITS MILITARY BASE, DURING THE CHIMURENGA WARS IN ZAMBIA. NOT COUNTING THAT SOUTH AFRIKAN EXILES WERE 20.000 scattered all over Afrika.and the west, caribean. NOT IN ONE COUNTRY, WHEN SOUTH AFRIKA ALONE HAS OVER 24.000 KNOWN NIGERIANS AND IN TOTAL. 4 MILLION KNOWN IMMIGRANTS, WE ARE NOT COUNTING SRI LANKANS, BANGLADESHIS,PAKISTANIS,VIETNAMESE, CHINESE,INDIANS OF INDIA, ROMANIANS,POLISH,UKRANIANS ETC. IT NOT THAT WE ARE IGNORANT OF HISTORY. SOBUKWE WAS OUR PRODUCT. WE KNOW EVERYTHING THAT IS TO KNOW. WE JUST NEED IMMIGRATION POLICIES JUST LIKE YOUR COUNTRIES DO, DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, ECONOMIC IMMIGRANTS AND REMAIN, LIKE YOU GUYS WITH GENUINE REFUGESS, NOT IN REFUGEE CAMP LIKE I WAS OR LIKE TANZANIA TODAY DOES, NOT IN DETENTION CAMP LIKE ZAMBIA DOES, NOT DEPORT GENUINE REFUGESS LIKE NIGERIA AND CAMEROON DID THIS YEAR. BUT OUR REFUGEES HAVE TO BE INTERGRATED IN OUR COMMUNITIES AND NOT ISOLATE THEMSELVES IN HILLBROW AND BE TARGET OF RIDICULE. WE HAVE LIVED WITH THE MINE WORKERS, HOSPITALITY WORKERS, FROM MALAWI, ZIMBABWE, BOTSWANA, LESOTHO,ZAMBIA, MOZAMBIQUE AND SWATINI. THAT IS WHY WE HAVE RELATIVES ALL OVER, WE NEVER BEAT THEM UP. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO THINK THAT WE JUST MET OTHER AFRIKANS AFTER YOU WERE BORN. THEY HAVE BEEN WITH US, BUT THEY WAS NO FLOODING THAT CAUSES FIGHT FOR DIMINISHING FINITE AND SCARCE RESOURCES. TODAY THAT IS THE PROBLEM. AND IN NO WAY I AM SAYING WE ARE JUSTIFY KILLING OTHER AFRIKANS, OF OURSE WE ARE WRONG, EVEN KILLING ANYONE FROM ANY OTHER COUNTRY OR CONTINENT IS WRONG, THAT IS WHY HAVE NO DESTH PENATY. IAM NOT SAYING YOU CANNOT BE MAD AT US FOR THE KILLINGS DONE IN THIS COUNTRY, YOU ARE JUSTIFY, BUT DO NOT LIE ABOUT US. EVERY TIME I READ COMMENTS BY OTHER AFRIKANS, IT IS ABOUT TO DESTIRT WHAT IS THE REALITY, THEY THEMSELVES KNOW, POST PHOTOSHOPPED VIDEOS AND PHOTOS, NOT LETTING THE TRUTH BE KNOWN, THAT SOUTH AFRIKA IS OVERCROWDED, AFRIKANS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES, NOT ALL, HIJACK BUILDINGS, SELL DRUGS, DO HUMAN TRAFFICKING, ARE INVOLVED IN HEISTS. CONTRIBUTE IN THE LOSS OF JOBS, BY AGREEING TO PAID LESS THAN THE LAW RECQUIRE, THUS THEY BECOME PREFARED TO SOUTH AFRIKANS BY THE WHITE MONOPOLY CAPITAL. SO, DO NOT THINK THAT WE ARE IGNORANT, WE KNOW MORE THAN YOU THINK, SOME OF US ARE STILL RESEARCHING THE BANTU/BATHU MIGRATION FROM THE GREAT LAKES, THAT THE WHITE HISTORY FAILED TO DELVE DEEEPLY ON. BE FAIR, HONEST, AND FACTUAL IN YOUR CRITICISM OF US, LIKE I SAID YOU CAN EVEN INSULT US ON KILLING PEOPLE, THAT IS JUSTIFIED. BUT BE HONEST, STOP EXAGGERATING ISSUES, AND STOP PRETENDING THAT YOU, BESIDES SOUKTH AFRIKANS YOU LIKE EACH OTHER. THAT IS NOT TRUE YOU KNOW THAT. AND SOME OF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE HISTORY YOU PORTRAY AS NOT KNOWN TO US.

@@moeuragu6280 Our president did address the nation a few days after the attacks. He condemned the actions and police are arresting those involved in this. Violence is a complex situation to solve so it might take time and it is obvious that some South African need more than just a "let's unite and stop fighting" solution. The mentality of Xenophobia is far more than what we see on the surface. It is not like this attacks happened only now under his watch . The attacks happened during Mbeki and Zuma's term. This just shows that South Africans particularly those in poverty filled areas have issues and take them out on other human beings. The people who are involved in the violence are either poor or undereducated. Until our government deals with issues of social cohesion to the core, this will keep resurfacing. I personally think it was very disrespectful and out of taste for Zimbabweans to act like that in the presence of an entire state head from another country especially since he has not kept quiet about the situation. It's absurd that they cannot boo their own president who has not done much to help the situation in their own country so far. President Cyril Ramaphosa holds a respectable position and that should be respected.

Of all the African countries, only south Africa has that opportunity to a fresh start and the chance to learn from the mistakes of others. They have the privilege to already established structures and state. All they need do is heal from the past, improve and maintain. But they are letting it slip off their hands, unnecessarily tarnishing their image and doing the exact mistakes of other failed African states. So much blood has been shed already and you can't keep shedding the blood of the innocent (children, women, foreigners ) and expect no repercussions. It has spiritual, economical and political consequences. Which nation has killed foreigners, women and children and prosper? None. By the next 10 - 20 years, South Africans would realise they not better than Zimbabwe if care is not taken. This is Africa, the demand for land at all cost doesn't mean the land would be delivered to the people. It would only be distributed among the greedy few and the people end up in more severe poverty. We know what we are all good at and good leader use the good resource around them to achieve their good vision. You have the Whites in SA and then foreigners from different nationalities and skills, look at what they are good at and use them to build the nation. Nation building is conglomerate of ideas and strength. Your police knows where the bad foreigners are and can deal with them but they are corrupt. Take clue from Singapore and UAE/dubai, see their model for development, they give access to all and able to curb crime as well. Things can still change but only by informed decisions and this present government and many of the new generation of south African are not looking like they know.

As Africans our colonial masters are still angry on how we chased them so they still find a way to undermine and tarnish our image as black. However they will go to any extent even corrupting the nation to destroy it so they can penetrate. South Africa and Nigeria are the only country that needs to hold the African power to push it forward. Yes Nigeria is having issues with its government, but with the media and wealth we are trying to change the African narrative, thou not easy. 44.5% of Nigerians are poor and why is that so, religion from The north has been able to make western education difficult to practice by many. But with time we are changing. Over to SA 55.5% are poor with the white holding the economy. Too bad, that our black brothers are not having their way through, so Africa needs to stand together, these white in SA are diverting the investment to Austrialia, New Zealand, Canada and UK. We did not boo Mugabe when he came to South Africa. Even now there are a lot of Zimbabwens who have been living in South Africa holding very good jobs. Look at Peter Ndoro and his brother. Zimbabwens did not stone the police in a country in which they are migrants. Those who did fueled this spate of attacks on migrants because they were defying the police so people decided to take them on as far as I can see. I do not in anyway support both sides, those who challenged and stoned police and those who retaliated cause they felt that they were being taken over by force. Violence was answered with violence.

Some of my countrymen where murdered for the struggle against Apartheid and yet all this smh. The ones doing this may be ghetto deprived people but in all honesty the better off didnt look bothered while it went on. What was being given more airplay was the death of the Cape town girl as compared to the attempted slaughter of whole communities. Africa will not forget easily...

Those working there or doing business won't invest again. The worst is that South African has a huge investment in Nigeria compared to Nigeria investing in SA. Zuma stop it if you can remember on 2008 before it spread city to city... I'm very angry because Cyrial Ramaphosa is the president he suppose to stop the Xhenophobia attack immediately the second he saw it happened.
