There has been much reaction to President Cyril Ramaphosa's response in regard to the court challenge that seeks to order the government to stop load shedding. Replying to the court application by nineteen parties who have filed an application, Ramaphosa says it is not his mandate to provide electricity as that falls in the municipal purview. UDM leader General Bantu Holomisa who is one of the parties in the court application has responded that Ramaphosa is not correct in saying it's the municipalities' function, because municipalities are not responsible for the national regulation of load shedding.
