I watch because you really know your stuff and you are an "every man" that I can identify with. I'm not a very good pilot but I LOVE the hobby. And that's precisely what it is for MOST of us, a hobby. I fly and KZitem for the sheer freedom and FUN of it. I think you have one of the best channels out there because your love of RC flying really shines through and you have the rare ability to share your tremendous technical knowledge in a relatable way. Your "average" flying skills are an asset to your channel in my opinion. I enjoy the videos from "amazing" pilots to a point but I know I'll never get there and it becomes a bit depressing frankly. Please don't stop sharing your flying. This hobby of building and flying RC aircraft has a HUGE learning curve. You make it seem attainable. Thank you so much for what you do and how you do it. Happy flying amigo 🫡 🍻.

One of the big problems with flying on your own is that you don't have people around to push you into lifting your game. Nothing hastens progress more than a bunch of mates goading you to do stuff that you perhaps would never otherwise try. Unfortunately, although I have friends who fly fixed-wing, there's nobody around here who flies proximity or freestyle quads. This also means that *every* one of my FPV flights would be illegal if it wasn't for Arnie acting as my visual observer.

You are awesome ian. It is not about being good at fpv, it is about having fun in fpv. You are an inspiration to me and many other pilots, no matter what people say, you bring talents to the table and that's more than most of them shit talkers. You are allowed to have your own opinions, and if they don't agree with your opinions then they can turn their heads because that is YOUR opinion, they are rightfully able to do the work that you do and make there own opinions, but they don't because they have no idea what they are talking about and don't want to put in the effort to learn like you have. TLDR: Fuck the haters ian; You are allowed your own opinions, preach it; You are not good or great, You are amazing.

Hi Ian, i found your channel about two yrs. ago and i'm so grateful for all you do, Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your honesty. I'm very much like you, i'm more of a tech person myself. I have built electric skateboard for me and my son and a few for close friends. I started with fpv about 4 yrs ago but i built them more for my son, i can't never have a flight without crashing. I have built 19 fpv quads and now i'm into building and upgrading Arrma RC cars and trucks and have made two of them with Walksnail systems. I could never catch your livestreams live but, when i'm driving, i listen to the livestreams on my phone and i connect it bluetooth to my cars radio system. Just wanted to say thank you for sharing all the information, time and effort you put into your content. This video right here is why i love your channel. Hope you're around for a long time. Thank you.

You are one of my faves to watch on here Ian and honestly really appreciate all the work you put into the videos and I really enjoy the technical aspect of all of it. I always anticipate a new video and see what you bring to us this week. I've only started in FPV September of 2023 and this year got more involved online on Facebook groups and what not and try to be more of a positive influence and helpful to anyone I can help with the knowledge I've gained - which is a great deal from you and advise those asking for help to ignore the negativity though it is rampant online on youtube, and even in these groups. I hope that you don't only take the negative comments to heart but the ones that are truly grateful to you and all you do and realize they strongly outweigh the ones that choose to use their words in a harmful manner. Thank you 1000 times over for what you do and I will continue to support you as best I can.

Ian, you are one of the pinnacles of this great hobby. I watch Bardwell for how-to, I watch Steele, Bot and others to be inspired by their flying, and I watch you and Chris for advanced technical information. Both of you fill a unique gap in this respect, past what Bardwell offers - which he seems to freely admit. Do I give a crap if you can fly a drone well? Not in the f'in slightest. I'd also like to point out that apparently 55.9k subscribers seem to also agree with me.

I'm definitely NOT watching your videos for your flying. I love that you love flying but your channel is in the top-3 group of technical FPV-channels out there: JB, Chris Rosser and your channel - in no specific order. You three are the reason why I started my channel: do the same in Finnish. Then I quickly realized I don't know as much of this stuff as you guys do so I pivoted my channel more to vlog-like. But in the end, I'm highly technical guy learning more every day of this stuff. In a year or two I can go back to my original idea and it is completely thanks to you and others. Keep doing what you are awesome in and let MCK, AuxPlumes and other stupendously talented pilots inspire us with their flying. You both are very much needed in the community. Thank you. You are an inspiration.

Great video and nice to see you out of the shed! I fly like you Ian. Cruising, hedge-hopping and shooting a few tree gaps in the hills overlooking Cardigan Bay. No bandos here (just old lead mines) and barely any FPV pilots either! I love landscape photography so flying FPV was a revelation for me .... even with the new-fangled KK2 FC! I'm a retired professional from the microchip industry and a full-on techie, so wholeheartedly appreciate the natural, enthusiastic, credible and honest delivery in your videos. Lord knows, I'd never have been able to navigate the DJI firmware options for folks trying to run Vista & O3 systems from the same set of V2 goggles without your technical overviews. Try to take the hate comments on the chin although I'm sure it's tough. Rest assured, the haters are a small minority like on all social media. No need to justify yourself mate. I know your neck of the woods pretty well as I'm a Carmarthen boy. Beautiful part of the country. If you're ever passing through Aberaeron and need an FPV fix I can show you a couple of nice spots in the hills where we can fly like sh*t pilots. Cheers, Steve :)

BLUF: I started watching MT recently, when I converted to Walksnail, and have thoroughly enjoyed the tuition you have given on their products - from the how-to's to the thermal imaging, I've learned quite a lot. Stuff you wouldn't pick up from those Great Pilots you mention. Your coverage has matched my hardware tastes recently, and your coverage is exactly what I was looking for during implementation. The idea that you have to be a good pilot to have valuable knowledge on the technical side of the hobby is absolutely ridiculous. I see this argument thrown around all the time in this community. I'd argue, very often, a lot of those top pilots give complete garbage advise on the technical side. The airplane you fly when going on your holiday was not designed by the pilot and you don't want it to be. These are different skill sets. Hell, we can take this further. You can even teach/coach how to fly without being the world's top pilot. Even a teacher is a completely different skill set. There is a reason Olympic athletes still have coaches and they have a completely different career. Your content is unique and incredibly valuable to the community. Thank you
