Listen to the different sounds the leg kicks made in the beginning. Coach's low kick made a loud snap and Dekkers low kick made a thud. Difference in landing at the bottom of the shin vs the middle of the shin like Dekkers did.

so you think he competed for too long? He did fight frequently and not fully recovered. I just had my first fight 5 days ago Im still in pain and my hearts not the same as before. I guess fightsport is just that detrimental.

+nikonxxx High-Endurance sports are extremely hard on the heart. We';re starting to see this with ultra marathon runners, cyclists, etc. from the 80's and 90's now dying of heart attacks and heart failure today. You dont die from old age, you die from organ failure, and it all depends on which organ is being used and abused the most during your life. Muay Thai and Kickboxing are extremely high- endurance sports and the training is even more so. The sport itself just to even compete is insane on cardio, then the training 7 days a week at high endurance and sparring and hitting pads for hours a day multiple times per day is insane, then the stress of competing, and to do it all at the highest level possible?! Forget it man. You're just not designed to handle that type of demand. A high endurance lifestyle 7 days per week with a half-assed strength program will kill you faster than smoking a pack a day will.

Look how his whole body moves when he punches, especially the hips. That is a very important aspect of how to increase your punching power.

Compare him with the other guys that are not as experienced as him. Look at how they are moving their hips and body into the punches. You can see a clear difference. The strength, and the movement is perfect!

When he demonstrates the body kick he gestured an upward motion with his arm. Did Ramon kick upward? I thought Dutch guys according to Bas Rutten come more of a 90 degrees angle kick. Any insight would be great.

They kick ina downward or upward angle, muAy that does it the 90 degree way , I’ve trained both , n basically the Dutch likes to “chop the tree”

+Dexter Haven He is a Muay Thai Champion in multiple weight class and had fought many times in Thailand with Thai rule. And had beat the best of the best that Thailand has to offer him in his prime. Show some respect. Google or do a search of him for his fights on youtube and you know what what I am talking about. He's a great fighter and coach as well. RIP Coach Ramon.
