I was fortunate to play many Opry shows back in my younger years. I always made it a point to meet and shake hands with as many of the "original" Opry stars as I could, without being a bother. Grandpa Jones was one of them. He always treated everyone with kindness and respect.

I grew up sitting on my grandpa’s lap watching Hee Haw every Saturday night. I loved and still love Grandpa Jones. Not too many years ago, I took the time to read and learn about all the Hee Haw characters and the murder of hid friend String Bean. I’m about to turn 50 and I still remember and enjoy Grandpa Jones videos.

I was brought up with grandpa's music.when he came on stage everything seem to come to life. His contribution to country music is unsurpassed and will never be forgotten.I have to add that my favourite song as a family is neibours with grandpa,Romona and Alisa.I learned to play the banjo listening to him but could neever master it like he did.

Ramona was my Grandma's cousin. I grew up thinking Grandpa Jones was my real grandpa.😄 We all used to sit together when Grandpa Jones, Roy Clark and Minnie Pearl played at Old Settlers in Southern Indiana. I had a lot of good times back then. Minnie, Ramona and my Grandma made me and my brothers get up on stage and sing. It was a little embarrassing for me, but my brothers enjoyed it every time.😄❤️

i recently came across grandpa jones when i was trying to find music for my little one year old son to watch on youtube other than kids songs.. i cant stand kids music and its not very musical at all, very dry! he is no energetic and animated that my son was just drawn to that instantly and when that banjo start playing he gets to dancing!! its the cutest thing ever!! I wish i found this music when i was younger, i really find it a good antidepressant when stressed out in life!! definitely now one of my favorite musicians!

I think she was just as good musician as her husband, but she made him shine for the show. He was probably more entertaining. They were both fantastic, though almost unknown here in Sweden.
