I was watching The Square on Netflix, and when he first started playing the song, I was thinking "I like that chord progression and vocal style"...it's almost haunting, but in a neat way...Egypt always has awesome sounding exotic style music. I play guitar, and Egyptian style scales, usually (Phrygian minor mode) are the coolest sounding ones. Here's a fun fact: Most us rocker Americans who are learning guitar, and like to 'shred'/play fast once we get good, almost ALWAYS revert to some kind of Harmonic Minor scale that sounds Egyptian. For example: the band 'Cacophony'. Amazing guitar players...listen to the song "The Ninja" by them, and at about 4:10 when the solo starts you'll know what I mean....just awesomeness.

Watched Ramy perform in Sweden, quite a guy. He has been through so much and has got just his music as his weapon. Respect! The translation in English: (correct me if I am wrong) We are all united as one, And what we ask for, Is just one thing: GET OUT! GET OUT! Down, Down Husni Mubarak! The people demand: Bring down the regime! He is going away. We are not going anywhere! We are all united as one, And what we ask for, Is just one thing: GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT!

Hi Reepjyoti - i am very thankful of your translation. I am working with this song among others from the revolutionary period as a university project, and i am very interested in knowing how to pronounce the lyrics in Egyptian arabic. Is it possible for you (if it isn't to much trouble) to write it as it sounds? If you have the time i would be most thankful, and if not it is absolutely okay! all the best!
