Love your bean videos! Who knew such a world of beans even existed? For the Mexican chocolate, use 2 triangle sections, not two disks. 😁

I know, right!? So many beautiful (and tasty) options! Ok, good to know about the chocolate - 2 of those giant discs just seems a bit much for only one liter of liquid!!! (Speaking of hot chocolate, do you go to Angelina in Paris?!)

Kendra Lee Used to, their chocolate is the best, but you wouldn’t believe the lines to get in the past few years!

Oh gosh, I would believe the lines! I haven't been there in ages - whenever I thought of going, the line was just always crazy. Also, since we are talking about Paris places - have you been to Wild and the Moon? There are a few locations in Paris and they've also opened a couple in Dubai and maybe even Abu Dhabi. I've been to the one in the Marais. Really good food (excellent nut milk lattes like golden milk). And they just came out with a cookbook!!!! I keep bugging my mother-in-law about getting it for me (the author was doing a book signing at Merci a couple weeks ago, but she missed it!).

@@crazykenz4203 oh wow, funny how it takes people from outside Paris to discover new things in Paris. No, hadn’t even heard of them, but just looked up and it seems there’s one right across the Tuileries from me, so I’ll check it out!

@@VelvetandToads Yes, check them out!!! I just looked up the one I used to go to in the Marais because there were a couple good places around the corner on rue Forez...and those places are closed, boo! One was called Pinson and was sooo good, mostly vegan, gluten-free stuff. And can't remember the other one across from that, kind of a Japanese vegan fusion kind of place - such good food, but looks like there's a burger joint there now. (Speaking of burgers, we were always a fan of Cafe Central on rue Cler...although I had quite the incident with a very sassy waitress there once, so haven't been back for awhile. And Camion qui Fume is a good burger food truck. And Big Fernand - think there are a couple locations, but have been to the one near rue Montorgeuil. Super good!)

not sure if you have a garden or not....but, make sure you save some of your beans to grow. People forget that the beans are actually seeds...for some of your favorites it would be nice to be able to pick them from your own garden

Such a good idea! I didn't have a garden this summer and probably won't have one in 2021, but I'll definitely keep this comment in mind. There was a type of beans I got from Rancho Gordo called Yellow Indian Woman and oh my gosh, they were fabulous - so creamy, such good flavor. Aaaaand I completely finished the bag and didn't save any! I check the site from time to time to see if they have more of those, along with the Royal Coronas (sooooo big and delicious!).

@@crazykenz4203 I have seen packets of yellow indian women for sale at a couple places....not many....but I like the idea of buying a pound of beans for a little more than double what you would pay for a packet of 25 seeds at a seed shop....plus you get to try them out before you buy them with a pound...can't really do that with 25 beans, haha. good luck on your search for your favorite beans. I know some of these like the Ayocote and some of the other beans from Mexico are basically impossible to get anywhere else besides Rancho Gordo

That's such a good point about buying a pound of beans for twice of what a seed packet costs and being able to taste them and then have plenty for planting!!! Are you on the Rancho Gordo bean club waitlist? I am...but it's like 11,000 people long! Also, if you are on their email list, sometimes they do little Zoom talks about beans, etc. - they're pretty interesting!

@@crazykenz4203 I am not on the waitlist...but I have ordered from them a couple times...I love their mission statement and how they treat indigenous farmers...I'll have to sign up on their email list!

Yes, Rancho Gordo is awesome!!! I love how they also keep the villages where their beans are grown super secret in order to keep them from being overrun with tourists. I think it was in one of the Zoom classes I watched, they mentioned that they used to do bean tours to Mexico, but that it ended up hurting the farmers and local villages, so they stopped. Can't wait til I have a garden again and can try my hand at growing some of these varieties!
