First that’s a beautiful knife. I always wanted one in the 1990s when I was stationed at ft. Benning. I traveled down to Orlando to look at their shop. Anyway they used to Rockwell them 53-55. The story I got was because it’s easier to sharpen anywhere. Im wondering have they changed that now ? That’s what turned me off that and the wait back then was 1-2 years. Both my grandfathers were machinist so I knew more about metal work then most. They make beautiful knives but I’m a user not a collector. Just can’t justify the price myself but I can appreciate a good knife.

I think the wait time is about 5 years now. Ebay is your friend of you ever wanted a Randall knife now. No wait.

Thank you for the video, I have a question about this knife. Is there silver soldering where the blade and brass guard meet?
@TerryBenton

It does not appear to be soldered in person. So without being an expert I am going to say no but I do not want to mislead you

Bo Randell and he was also known as Bull Randell All the money they make you think they would upgrade the shop at least, 5 years is a mess and knife making ain't magic even if it's hand forged, so it's just a smoke & mirror game with your money being tied for 5 years , the Japanese makes the best blade with the purist steel even used and it doesn't take them 5 years , folks have been fooled by Randell Made Knives when Cold Steel & Mike over at Barkriver made some of the finest knife for a Great price that you will use and not show off on a wall. 🤔 It's a spectacular knife nonetheless. 😊 Made in the Randell junk shop. 😢

@@TerryBenton i mean on every video i've seen of Randall knives, everyone says its a mystery steel, people say its tough, and i believe them, i just want to know what they mean, since most videos i've seen of these knives are from collectors who never seem to cut with them, not saying that's you.... ive heard its nasa space steel? so what are the qualities? is it a secret?
@TerryBenton

@benson4268 I do not think there is any mystery to it. I live very close to where they build them. I think it is just labor intensive to make them and that is why they cost so much. I will definitely look into it now.
