Thousands of "songs' , particularly in hispanic boleros are in this format and easy to see why the Harmonic minor accommodates this so well .The 16-bar chord progression follows the Circle of Fifths, similar to the jazz standard "Autumn Leaves". Every other verse ends with a Picardy cadence. 'Europa' , 'I will survive', Still got the blues and Mr Crowley are all the same "song" .Try playing the melodic minor and phrasing on every chord
