I have just recently moved on from a 2017 Velar D300 , must agree the combination of air suspension with 20 inch wheels works perfectly. Having just picked up a MY2022 Porsche Macan S, I will admit I still miss the Velar...high praise me thinks for any British car.

A lot of negative comments from people who have never had a Velar. I have one and previously had Freelander 2, Freelander 1, Discovery Sport and RR Sport. All five have been more reliable than other makes I have owned

Hi Tom, I really like Rangies. I had a Range Rover Sport, it was beautiful, it was comfortable, it was practical and when ever I looked at it, or, drove it - yes - it or I felt special. But I have also had more reliable cars. Much more reliable. My good friend had two Rangies in the time I had mine. He said "I need something more reliable, or, less expensive to fix" his answer was to buy a top of the line Jeep Cherokee Overlander. My answer was to buy a Genesis GV70 3.5TT. I know the Korean alternative is seen an being low rent by some. Not by me though. Very happy with my purchase. The Genesis has the same - hey I'm in something special feeling - as the Rangie did. If you open your mind there are good alternatives out there, if you need convincing then look at the JD Power ratings from the US.

Genesis is an excellent alternative and I agree. However, my mechanic swears by Lexus and insist its cheaper to service and more reliable than any other luxury car especially, after the warranty period is over. That's one of the reasons they still hold their value even after 6 to 7 years. I prefer to drive my car than see it look pretty sitting in my garage waiting for some parts.

@@thefreshestprince89 Great reply - I don't use it as a hire car. Although over the last few weeks I wish I could have, my adult children are back home and I haven't been in the car at all. Thanks Dad. They love it, can't wait to tell me how good it is. Me, I had it in the week before they arrived home. I remember thinking it was good as well.

Was looking to see if the back seats folded flat so the boot space continues to be completely flat or not??? Important for those who want to place dog crates in the back. Shame you didn't show what the back seats fold as. So if anyone here has bought one of these - let me know what the boot space really can do as can't find out on the Range Rover website nor on carsales site.

These rubbish cars is what keeps mechanics in business. There is a mechanic next to my university campus and literally %70+ of cars in his lot are European cars such as Jaguar/Landrover, Volkswagens and BMWs plus a plethora of Holden Cruzes/Astras/Captivias. Edit: Please consider reliability if you are buying a car especially if you are planning on keeping it past its warranty period.

I hate it when crossovers have ugly matte black plastic cladding. I prefer body colored or a little bit of glass black, just like Velar. A more sporty and street-focused design that’s also lowered to the ground like a sedan. Velar represents what future of car design will look like in the future. Crossover SUVs today already look devoid from its truck-base heritage and have more in common with a sports sedan.
