Acting up in Lankhmar is so good. Some of the most fun I have had in any RPG module elver

Great list - I'm running Gang Lords and Masks right now, and will be introducing Acting Up soon. Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much!

Great video as usual WB! We just finished Advent of the Avalanche Lords with my home group as a holiday-themed adventure and it was great.

Totally Awesome!! I have been rewatching your old videos, all is informative inspiring and awesomely cool. I have been getting deeper into DCC, and your channel is solid resource with DM practical examples! Rock on, Rocking in da New Year!!!

I strongly recommend "Danger in the Air!". It is an S-tier for me and my players. I'd be curious of your thoughts on "The Inn in the Forest" from Trusty Sword (Daniel J. Bishop). It was fun, my players loved it, but it was hands down the most difficult game I have ever run. The book isn't at fault, it just really taxed me, which is hard to explain why without spoilers.

You smack talked Crypt so hard, said you were going to be mean, didn't recommend most people get the module, then slapped it with a D+ when you were hyping it for F tier. Love this tier list though, giving me good suggestions of adventures to add to my possible campaigns.

I think for something to be F tier, it really has to be completely unsalvageable but I still think there is stuff to get out of CotDL. I just wouldn't run it as is. But a few more of adventures like this and I may become jaded enough to start handing out Fs lmao

I'm running Creep, Skrag, Creep! on Friday. Might be a one-shot, but might be the start of a little six or eight session mini-campaign (we'll see if they TPK).

Do you have any recommendations for a dice tower than can accommodate the larger DCC dice (d24, d30)?

This is great. You should do a video about non DCC adventures you’ve run in the system!

You have mentioned a few times how you don't like clerics in DCC, did you ever explain that thought? I am dipping my toes in the system and am curious about upcoming pitfalls and stuff like that.

hey dude!Yeah I responded to your question on clerics the last time you asked this on my one shot video last month :)

What would be a good follow-up for Portal Under the Stars? (can be a one-shot or campaign)

Yddgrrl's Maze which is a third level adventure that was in some of the older DCC printings (not sure where to get it now) has a thing with a dryad that can lead directly from the ending of Portal. I also think Intrigue At The Court of Chaos is a really fun one that goes into more cosmic weirdness that feels like the tone doesn't shift too far from what Portal is setting up. And Doom of the Savage Kings is different tonally but is just such a solid adventure and also a great campaign start area with a great town and potential for surrounding area/hexes for future adventures. Hope that helps!

@@wasabiburger3047 Thanks for the response! I just got my hands on a copy of Yddgrrl's Maze. It's actually an adventure for six to eight 2nd-level characters. Now after going through Portal Under the Stars, we're left with a party of five level one characters. I wonder if I should run another adventure in between so that they get to level 2 (or even 3) or just scale down Yddgrrl's Maze. What do you think?

@@saulsilv My advice would be if Yddgrrl's Maze is what sparks inspiration and that is what you want to run, I'd just run that and maybe scale it down a bit where necessary, it should be pretty easy to do so. But if some other level 1 adventure strikes you as more fun to go for first, then go for that! I know it's a bit of a platitude but I don't think there is wrong choice outside of running something you don't want to. :)

DCC Crypt was definitely an after thought. Its also deadly for the sake of it (very much for the Grimtooth fans). The appendices were the only part with using for most people, IMO. Dungeon Denizens will also be an after thought - I hope it won't be but I am not confident, and I hate that I backed it. /rant With OSE and now Shadowdark, the DCC format has to go. The formatting, layout, and graphic design is the first impression. There is a reason people resist looking into DCC and its that the first impression sucks (like really sucks, and that before you realize there is a hottie with giant bullet points and 2 page class spreads next door). The cover art is superb and I love that a lot of it wasn't done digitally but people open the book and flip and put it down.

I hope you wrong, as these that you list are all Goodman Games Kickstarter's, and after getting funded, publishing "after Thoughts" will dissuade me from backing anymore of their Kickstarter's

We need the lost Crypt of the Devil Lich tapes! Loved the struggle session review of it, but would also love to listen to the gang slowly losing their patience and minds in realtime.
