I love how in depth you go with each entry. Your passion is infectious! My favorites? 1: Jodi Benson as Ariel…it’s Ariel. The fact she can still hit those notes decades later is amazing. 2: Paige O’Hara as Belle. I really love how she can hit all kinds of emotions. 3: Kinda cheating here but I love all the voices for Jasmine. I really can’t pick one. 4: Kelly MacDonald…I love the accent. I really love the accent. And all the energy she has is infectious. 5: Anika Noni Rose…There’s so much personality in this role. I adore how she can switch from stern to soft in a snap. 6: Ilene Woods…this voice just sounds…kind. I don’t know if that makes sense but it’s comforting. 7: Ming na Wen…Mulan is one of my favorites, mainly because she tackles Mulan as both boy and girl but never loses that personality 8: Mary Costa…This is one I really grew more to love as I grew up. As a kid, I didn’t appreciate it as much but I’m proud to have her autograph! 9: Kristen Bell as Anna. Her energy is absolutely amazing. I find her so bubbly! 10: Adriana Caselotti…Snow White is a voice that really personifies innocence. It definitely has a “Betty boop” quality to it but I love it

Ariel definitely has one of my favorite Disney princess voices. It is just so pretty and bright and full of happy positive energy. I also love Moana‘s voice. It’s so distinct and beautiful, especially when she is singing. I love this video because especially for me as a blind person, the voice is the first thing That I recognize and learn about a character. Also, I really like your voice. Your voice sounds very bright and friendly and you seem like such a nice person. You have such a passion for all things Disney and your videos bring me so much happiness.

I’m so glad you included Liz Callaway. Odette and The Swan Princess were favorites of mine as a kid - even above other Disney princesses and movies. And I loved Anastasia too. Liz’s voice was just so sweet and crystal clear. Reminds me quite a bit of Lea Salonga. Jodi Benson is pretty much everyone’s gold standard for a Disney Princess voice I think. They are just all so special though. I just watched Snow White again last night and I think her voice was absolutely perfect as the first ever Disney Princess.

And in that WIR movie's promo stuff...she was placed in the Cinderella position with the princesses. Probably because Ariel is the most adaptable princess.

26:03 I’m quite fond of Adriana Caselotti too! I even have her autograph which I purchased at Walt Disney World. I wish I could have gotten to meet her as just like Snow White she seemed to have a beautifully kind soul and was so loving.

Anybody who can pull off what Adriana Caselotti did for Snow White is definitely amazing in my book, but Adriana will always be snow. White and snow is my favorite princess in her animated form.

Jennifer Hale was Aurora for House of Mouse and the original and quite frankly insulting Aurora story for Enchanted Tales before the less insulting one was made. Though they really should have kept Christie Mossman from the Disney Princess Sing-A-Long videos as Aurora's singing voice and retained Jennifer Hale for the speaking for Enchanted Tales. Erin Torpey wasn't too bad, but Cassidy Ladden didn't even try to immitate Mary Costa....Christie Mossman actually did sound like a match.

I admit I'm heavily biased in favor of the actresses who both spoke and sang in their performances, like the luminous Paige O'Hara, Jodi Benson, Auli'i Cravalho, Ilene Woods, Mary Costa, Anika Noni Rose, Kristen Bell, and Idina Menzel. Having different performers for the speaking and the singing seems a little like... I dunno... cheating, considering how many actors, especially among the Broadway ranks, excel at both, and Disney shouldn't have had too much trouble finding them, had they bothered to look. (I confess I've never cared much for Adriana Caselotti's singing voice and see that casting as a product of its time, but I appreciate her role within Disney's history.) Mary Costa might have been handed a rather weak role, but she has the most purely beautiful singing voice of any voice actress of Disney's classic era. That Aurora is an underwritten and comparatively bland heroine is NOT Costa's fault, and her exquisite vocals deserve more appreciation.
