the best about a shelf queen is to have not to take of any screw or part as you never have to replace or setup anything on the model :-) no diff nor belt wear behind glass

Get off my lawn! My oldest vintage cars are the Tamiya Rough Rider, followed by a Kyosho Pegasus, followed by a Kyosho Salute. Funny thing is I won the most races with the Pegasus (after a motor and oil filled rear shock upgrade). Fun to see the jaws drop on the RC10 guys faces when getting lapped by a Pegasus. I was a fairly skilled driver having learned to handle a Rough Rider. I purchased all of these new when they came out. So 1980,1986,1986/87... Plus a whole lot more Tamiya,Kyosho, and associated cars since the turn of the century... Cheers!

Nice collection doc!!! All all awesome and in excellent condition! For my opinion the rank is: 1st Yokomo,2nd Schumacher and 3rd Kyosho!

Sweet collection, bro. I only have one vintage if you can call it that a tlr 22-4 1.0 it was my first hobby grade race car, I also have TLR 22 2.0, 3.0, 4.0. my other car is a Traxxas e Revo 1.0. Tracks come and go so fast where I am I'm really hesitant on buying another buggy. I'm having a hard time finding reasonable priced parts for my 22-4 and my 22 2.0 though. Keep up the great work. Happy racing.

i only raced rc for one year and that was 1990. Which ever YZ-10 came out that year was un beatable at my local track. I think it was the car that Cliff Left won with that year but i could be wrong.

The YZ10 was very efficient which helped with runtime and power, but later model CATs and Lazers, which we would group into the same "vintage" category, were better cars. The timeline matters, but today we tend to group them all into a single vintage category.

Kyosho Lazer are excellent cars. Where is the VONATS being held this year now that Wolcott is closed?

Hey Ronaldo, a bit of an off subject question, I saw that you have some kind of a hobbywing ESC in your Lazer, could you give me the model, and do you use the same ESC in all your runners? I have been having issues with the SkyRC toro 120, that I have been using for my vintage racers (Optima Mid and Ultima/Triumph) and am considering swithing brand but not quit sure which to buy... Hobbywing, LRP, Reedy... I do not use motors lower than 10.5T. Maybe you have done a video on ESC's earlier that I missed.... Thanks for the help.

Hey there. I don't have any Hobbywing ESCs, but I do have quite a lot of Turnigy Trackstar ESCs. That's my go-to choice for most of my cars, as they're pretty cheap, very tunable, and they perform great. The Trackstar 120A V2 is particularly good, and more than enough for a 10.5.
