Irithyll and Lothric Castle led to two of the most visually striking moments I've ever had in any Souls game, to the point that I even stopped to take screenshots on my first time through them. Just absolutely phenomenal areas in every sense.

Lothric Castle really makes you say "Wow that's a proper castle" and even more I think it would have been even more striking if it was nearly all explorable like an Elden Ring Dungeon

I respect your opinions, but I cannot personally say that the catacombs, untended graves, and kiln of the first flame are better than the DLC areas or even some of the more in depth ones in DS3. Graves is a copy that is dull and has annoying enemies. Best part abt it is champ G and lore. kiln is j a set piece, and the catacombs aren’t interconnected enough and have some annoying enemies. Other parts of the list are valid and I get your complaints of the DLCs

All good. My whole list is valid, in the sense that is genuinely is just how I feel about the areas. I'm not asking for anyone to empathize or agree, I'm just sharing how I experience DS3 ^^

Great list, I personally would have put the archdragon peak a lot lower. It felt really unimaginative for Fromsoft to just make the warrior dragons ganky hyperagressive mobs like every enemy in ds3, when you compare how cool the Dragon Aerie felt in DS2 with the majority of the enemies hanging back honorably, the area really suffers by comparison. Especially nonsensical was the area where the dragon mage summons enemies for you to fight as if testing you but then spams you with range spells, as if they couldn't restrain themselves.

It makes sense that the hollows before champion gundyr are stronger, humans in the dark souls series are more powerful in the abyss. While the fromsoft lore is set up for speculation, it is a cool touch that makes it more than just a copy paste of the tutorial

I never realized you were supposed to explore the level to clear the dragons. On my first playthrough, I killed them at the bridge was left a bit puzzled by the design of the rest of the level. Definitely not the intended progression 😅

Out of curiosity, which areas do you disagree on? I assume the Ringed City, but I already know I'm in the minority on that one. Either way, much appreciated. I don't really make this videos for people to agree with them, so much as I just get to share my own experiences with each area ^^

@@BillySYT Yeah Ringed City for sure i think should be higher. An opinion I am in the minority for though is think that high wall of lothric isn't that great of an area, more of a top 10, and that road of sacrifices + Farum Keep really isn't nearly as bad as people say, easily clearing demon ruins, smoldering lake, irithyll dungeon, profaned capital, catacombs, cemetary of Ash, and the consumed Kings garden. I will say though, you're one of the only youtubers i've seen put undead settlement so high and I agree.

You can get the mimic to fight stray demon if you shoot it with an arrow from afar but I think they nerfed him now. He cannot take on the stray demon by itself. There was one time when he soloed the stray demon for me without breaking a sweat. I think he lost maybe 10% HP. But now he goes all the way to 90% down and some times get killed straight away.

I think it's definitely from a past cycle. Another piece of proof is that if you don't talk to the Shrine Handmaid in the main hub ever, then talk to the Untended Graves Handmaid, then go talk to the hub Handmaid for the first time, she has unique dialogue that implies she's seen you before. Which could only happen if the Untended Graves was a past event.

The ringed knight before halflight is not the final enemy of the game. The final enemy is in the gael arena where there’s another ringed knight somewhere behind the arena. the dragon slayer armour is there because he’s hunting midir, so it makes sense Also, the circle enemies that cast rings around you are irritating and that’s good because that’s the point of the enemies
@BillySYT
Жыл бұрын
1 - Actually had no idea about that, huh. Interesting. 2 - I still don't really see it. Did we not kill the Dragon Slayer Armour in the main campaign? So how is it somehow re-animated again? 3 - It's still irritating lmao. Intentional or not, it evokes a negative feeling in me, and that always trumps the "That's the point" argument.
@Sephirothkingdom782
Жыл бұрын
@@BillySYT the dragonslayer armour in the base game didn’t get “killed”, since there was nobody in it to begin with. We merely destroyed the Pygmy that was haunting it, so it ended up in the ringed city after it got defeated, and then it got haunted by the souls there, which is why you fight it. Also that “irritation” applies to many things. If you get irritated by dying to nameless king many times, does it make the fight bad or worse? That’s simply how I view it
