Heard them first at the roadburn festival during their black code tour. they played on the smallest stage and it was packed. i couldn't see anything. But i liked what i heard and bought the black code album (still my favorite). been a fan ever since and have been able to see them live one time. all the albums are great but i play the last three the most i think.

Hi Pete. I have listened to 3 albums based on your recommendation. Psychadelinaut, Noche de Chupacabra, and The Gathering Dark. I have to say that I am really enjoying this music. I am digging this type of music. The guitar work is masterful IMO. Thank you for the recommendation I appreciate it. The instrumentals and longer tracks are catchy to the point where you stay engaged.

Just wanna mention if you download Psychedelonaut on bandcamp you get one more tune than what the CD has. And that tune is a spectacular, heavy version of Billy Cobham's "Stratus".

Until today, Wo Fat only makes me think of the crime lord boss in the original Hawai'i Five-0 series. Now, more music to track down - particularly after listening to a few tracks from Pete's #1 and 2 choices. Thanks again, Pete, for bringing another band into focus for those of us watching the channel.

Wo Fat is a killer live band as well. I remember, I saw them with my old man on my birthday on their European back in 2016 at Loppen, which located is at Christiania (for all you weed people out there ..). But we keept our self to beers and gin & tonics, we where quite possibly the only ones, who keept to that combination. It just a perfect sunny day with drinks and some loud ass music - they where so fucking loud.

And if you are a fan of down and Mastodon how about Baroness or some favorite of mine Kylesa? Thanks for the great shows, especially the panels power pop and prog live albums was great fun lately. Also, there's death/doom bands like My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Anathema, Winter and, depending who you ask, Autopsy.

Many people have mentioned King's X to Pete, including me, but he's just not a great fan of their music. He doesn't *hate* it, and he recently talked about possibly giving their music another chance, but I doubt that we will see an album ranking, unless he does actually become more of a fan of the band.
@christianman73

@Atomic Duck Yeah, from what he said in a very recent video, it sounds like he may be becoming more of a King's X fan than he has been in the past! Sometimes, it takes years for a band to really "click" with a listener. That has happened to me from time to time.
