When World Champion bass angler Jacob Wheeler partnered with the design and engineering experts at Rapala to create the CrushCity™ lineup of soft plastics, he knew that they’d have to produce distinctive and superior features to stand out in the crowded lure marketplace.

The new CrushCity Bronco Bug™ lives up to that lofty goal. It is unlike anything in the market and it’s sure to become one of your new go-to softbaits.
“CrushCity is more than just a name to me,” Wheeler said. “There’s got to be a reason behind everything we put into these soft plastics.”
The Bronco Bug, a crawfish imitator that Wheeler dubbed “a bad little dude,” is set to put more bass in livewells in waters around the country and around the world, largely due to its life-like fleeing action.
What sets the Bronco Bug apart from the competition is a perfect level of body thickness, which allows an angler to Texas rig a hook to keep it snagless, while allowing for easy penetration of the hook. It features a dolphin-like swimming action and a “Bronco Buck” kick when jigged.
The body of the bait has raised ribs on each side to hide the hook point, meaning that when one side of the bait starts to show wear, the hook can be flipped without compromising any action, thereby increasing durability and efficiency.
