At the beginning of a project in architecture, it's often desirable to create a bunch of individual form studies really quickly. This helps stimulate creativity, as we see the results of our design work and respond to it with our next efforts.
Traditionally, this has been a process done via physical modeling, especially with hot-wire cut foam. But what if we could get many of the same qualities in a digital modeling workflow? What opportunities would that create?
In part one of this tutorial video series, I'll share with you some tips and techniques that I hope will be helpful for beginners and experienced modelers alike, and will help you see the software as a transparent tool to express your ideas rather than a barrier standing in your way.
