Thank you for sharing this! I made a beautiful slideshow for a friend with this lesson. I appreciate that you didn't use any plugins or additional apps and this lays a great foundation for building upon. My slideshow was about 80 images and I learned laying that high is not favored by Final Cut Pro so I did four groups of 20 stacked photos and it worked out great. I also added moments of video and an intro and exit. Thank you again!

Serge, can you kindly make your project available as template download please? Perhaps each picture can just be a blank coloured image, then its easy to know where to drop each image into it, and then we can all customise it to suit ourselves? Many thanks for everything btw, I love your channel and egoless delivery ;-)

Hello! First, thanks for this. It`s great. Second, when adding background music, the exported file only has the FX but no music. Do you have any idea why I'm doing to cause this? I could hear the music on FCPx. I try by deleting m,y preferences but after that, I couldn't hear my music. Thanks!

Thanks for the tutorial. Is there any way to randomize pictures on a Final Cut Pro timeline (for a project with hundreds of pictures) or to randomize them in a folder before putting them into a Final Cut Pro timeline? I can’t find a solution to this anywhere when making slideshows with pictures on Final Cut Pro. Thanks!

Question: at @0:32 - when you type in 10 frames, it automatically changes to 05. Why is that ? Puzzled :)

it was reading the position of the playhead: 05. when he hits control-D to set the clip duration the 40.05 shows where it is set now. He then changes the duration to 10 and when he presses enter the readout goes back to playhead position, 05.

Серёга привет! Not sure if you're reading a lot of these comments or not, but I have a pretty good video idea for you, was going to do a video on it myself (it has to do with the speeding up of the FCPX editing workflow by adding a sub $10 device to the computer) but my channel has nothing to do with video editing, so just wanted to see if you'd be interested? Let me know if you are so I can write it out for you...
