Art Garfunkel sings this one. Generally it was Paul Simon taking the lead vocal a bit more often. Art Garfunkel basically sung, and had a very sweet high voice for songs like this and for harmonies. Paul Simon was the writer.

Scarborough Fair/Canticle. SF is a traditional English folk song from the Middle Ages. In the background Paul sings Canticle, which uses reworked lyrics from an anti war song he wrote previously, with a new melody mostly composed by Art. I grew up listening to this song and only recently learned that Canticle was a separate song in the background. I can only pick up on the lyrics when they continue after a line of SF has ended. You really should have the written Canticle lyrics on hand to know what he’s singing.

Paul Simon wrote the song in 1969, but Art Garfunkel sang most of it in the 1970 recording. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was influenced by the gospel music to which Simon was listening at that time, especially the Swan Silvertones and their song "Mary Don't You Weep".

For folk you should really add Peter Paul and Mary. They have great pieces that's relevant to today like Blowing in the Wind which while a Bob Dylan Song became theirs. Another is Fair Ireland, Don't Take Away my Freedom. They have songs about being different.. Right Field, Danny's Downs. Other famous one include The Wedding Song which is copyright free because Peter wanted it to be played at weddings. Oh and they have a whole album of songs for kids. PETER Paul and Mommy.

Paul's hair is Art's moustache. Now you'll never un-see it. Paul Simon did the songwriting and the arrangements. He played guitar when they were live. Art Garfunkel carried the beautiful high notes like an angel. He didn't do anything but sing, but he had the prettiest voice ever, so he didn't have to. Simon & Garfunkel were huge in the 60's. This was probably their 3rd biggest hit, after "The Sound of Silence" and "Mrs. Robinson." Also check out "Scarborough Fair" and "The Boxer." But even further, all of their deep cuts are worth a listen at least. Later in the 80's, Paul had a respectable solo revival career, bringing in "world music" (aka African harmonies) to mainstream American music. You'll get around to that eventually, but that's for later on.
