What upsets me.. some Hair bands didn't get the respect they deserve.. actually many didn't.. great music. and Whitesnake was of the best. And Hair Bands wrote their own music.. I ain't gonna lie.. I was raised on Elvis and Frankie by my parents.. absolutely Iconic voices in our history.. and I love them both.. but they didn't write their own songs.. Hair Bands did... and as a child of the 80's.. this is golden to me.

Same here. We had so many actually good bands, lead singers, guitarists, etc. And, none of them get the props they deserve, simply because they're kinda written off or joked about for being labeled a "hair band." It was like people didn't take their music seriously or give it a chance, all because of the "hair" or "glam" lables.

Simpson at the time of the infamous murders. White Snake was popular during the same time as Bon Jovi. Another set of songs and a band you might really like is Headed for a Heart Break or Miles Away by Winger. Nothing scream 80's like some Winger. Just a bit of trivia for your day. Great song and video. Was a huge song during the 80's and really put Whitesnake on the map. David Coverdale has a great rock voice. Tawny Kitain was a model but dated a lot of rock stars back in the day. She got around! She & David were an item for a while. David Coverdale was with the band Deep Purple originally so he was before Bon Jovi. White Snake was his next band. There was a hair metal sound in the 80's so some of it can sound similar - ballads and big rock structure. "Still of the Night" really shows off David's vocal chops. Clearly back then seatbelts in cars weren't necessary...lol.

The Whitesnake catalog is completely worth checking out, even if it's just offline and not for more reaction content. They've been around since the late 70s but hit the height of their fame in the 80s. David Coverdale has one of the most recognizable voices in rock-n-roll, and at 72, can still belt it out like he did 30 years ago. The band members over the years are a who's who of supergroup-worthy musicians - Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, David Lee Roth), Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot), Reb Beach (Winger), just to name a few. Some suggestions for a Whitesnake rabbit hole: * Still of the Night * Slide it In * Fool for Your Loving * Love Ain't No Stranger * Crying in the Rain (kzitem.info/news/bejne/p4mcqGWeiYWJZawsi=jpAkyhIptX92HKyA) - this one's a little long at 12min, but it's a live performance from 2022 and is a great example of the supergroup-worthiness I mentioned. Plus, I think you'll appreciate the story in the lyrics.

The festival of all hair bands happens this weekend in Columbia, MD. Its called the M3 Rock Festival. It happens annually around the same time. Whitesnake has been one of the headliners. This weekends bigger headliners are as follows: Queensryche, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Quiet Riot, Also Nova, Bret Michaels of Poison, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, Night Ranger, Stryper, Y&T, and Faster Pussycat. You should do reactions on the best songs of each of these guys this week. Here are some suggestions (not sure if you've done them already): *Silent Lucidity, Empire, or Jet City Woman (Queensryche) *Lay It Down, Round and Round, or You're in Love *Cum on Feel the Noize, Mental Health, Mama Weer All Crazee Now (Quiet Riot) *Fantasy (Aldo Nova) *Something to Believe in, Fallen Angel (Poison) You may have already done the bigger hits *We're Not Gonna Take It, I Wanna Rock (Twisted Sister) *Sister Christian, Don't Tell Me You Love Me, (You Can Still) Rock in America, or When You Close Your Eyes (Night Ranger) *Calling On You, Honestly, To Hell with the Devil, The Valley, or God Damn Evil (Stryper) *Summertime Girls (Y&T) *Poison Ivy, Bathroom, Wall, or House of Pain (Faster Pussycat)
