The great thing is that Ren is just holding the mirror up so that we can take a look at ourselves, and realise the part we play in the money game. If we fall for the TV ads that tell us we need something when we really don't, if we overvalue something like a pair of sneakers, if we keep buying the next model of phone, if we measure our own value by the things that we own, we are the cogs that allow the money game to keep on rolling. The more we consume, the more power and wealth it gives to those at the top of the game. Sometimes we just need to lift our eyes and see the bigger picture. It really isn't. One ideology is inherently flawed and by design will widen wealth inequality and one provides a safety net and ideally an income cap. The only reason there is an argument and people haven't put up the guillotines is that rich people spend a lot of money with their media outlets telling you that socialism doesn't work. They don't want the debate; they literally have to put out their propaganda so they don't can stay on top.

There's a fairly influential Austrian economist from the 20th century, Joseph Schumpeter, who argued that there's a difference between Capitalism and Corporatism. Capitalism intrinsically trends towards Corporatism because Corporatism is intrinsically more stable than Capitalism, but it stagnates development and society. Thus for Capitalism to survive and continue to thrive requires a strong government with firm regulations, not the libertarianism that is pushed constantly in the US.

@Sloppyjoe7390 I don't think it really needs explaining but the line goes Ren mate we've heard it all before Ohh "she sell sea shells on the sea shore" So it has literally been heard before by Ren, plus the fact that its a kids nursery rhyme. The fact his voices are trying to cast judgement over Ren I would suggest that it relates more to his previous works that others would regard as an absolute triumph and also deep down I'm sure Ren would regard this as a huge accomplishment. I'm sorry I genuinely don't see why you're arguing this point. This is the way I hear it. I also hear many other throwback lines in other works by ren too, it's like little easter eggs for the people who actually follow his work and know it and I think that's amazing

When I first heard and watched money game 2 to I didn't notice that he said "hit em like Bronson" . And they show a picture of Charles Bronson, 'BRONSON' is a movie based on a real person played by Tom Hardy and he plays Charles Bronson who is a British brawler/long life inmate. He has spent more time in solitary confinement than any person in the world but he's never murdered anybody, he just always beat everybody up, the guards, other inmates, everybody. Funny thing, I actually named My First Son Bronson from that movie! Not that I want my son to be like him but it is just such a great name! Smart, strong and easy to spell. Honestly, I don't understand why Bronson isn't more popular of a name. All the better for my son I guess! Great reaction❤️

My personal opinion is that most corrupt people don't make the bad circumstances, but rather they maliciously take advantage of them whenever they occur. Rather than trying to mend an issue, they look for how they can use that issue to make money while making it look like they are trying to fix it. If you dirty your hands and go out of your way to make an issue you are more than likely going to get caught now a days. However that's not going to stop them from profiting from the misfortune of the world wherever they can. Like he said, "it don't matter if they hate you if they all say your name". Fame is power, and power is money. Fame is hard to achieve, infamy is easy. When was the last time you heard a story about someone rescuing a dog off the street, and if you did, did you even think twice about it? Now how about if that same person kicked a dog out onto the street? People would line up at their door like a mob. It's why all mainstream news is bad news, because those are the headlines people will actually click on.

Agree, the hook is a hooky as a hook can get. MAJOR ear worm. Ren is a big Sublime fan, by the way. 10 Downing St is the British Prime Minister's residence. In a nutshell, he's talking greed on a global scale, as seen in Brexit , the rise of Trump and his ilk, along with the worldwide elite corporatocracy and the politicians they've bought. And he's acknowledging that we're all unavoidably part of this twisted market-based economic system, but the more unconscious we are of our part in it the worse we actually make it, because our ignorance makes us dupes who are easily misled (distorted lies). I don't think he's condemning capitalism per se, but he definitely has no use for how corrupt unregulated capitalism has become. He's definitely European, not American.
