Whitney said it right. The music business is s lowdown dirty business as it has been revealed today. She truly enjoyed entertaining and sharing her gift with the masses and unlike some of the others, kept her clothes on.

I mean it's nice that she said that but isn't she kinda hypocritical? There's a picture of her during the I'm Your Baby Tonight world tour and she's wearing a very revealing see-through top with NO bra on. And she was becoming more flashy during this era of performing.

YES! I love it. _I was born with a gift to sing._ I heard that. When you can sing like *that,* then you really have a gift. Nowadays, you have people that sing. There's nothing behind it. No flavor, no character. Just a voice that sings. With Auntie Nippy, she had it goin' on. There were certain things she did, vocally, that were specifically carved out for her. The way she'd hit and hold a note. The way she'd glide or soar up to the top end of her voice. I have two weird theories..... I wonder if Tommy Mottola paid Clive Davis off in order to kinda slow his *machine* down in order for Mariah Carey to get all the promotion, in 1990. Am I looking too far into it? I always wondered if she recorded _I Will Always Love You_ between 1989 to 1991. Her vocals kinda changed from 1989 to 1992. Just little things I've noticed that most people don't care about.

@Dudebro13454 Bro She actually has a point... _I Will Always Love You_ sounds like her *I'm Your Baby Tonight* tessitura voice placement. She never sang _I Will Always Love You_ in its original key live during the Bodyguard era. I think she recorded the song before her voice changed and gave birth as well.
@Sttephy30
5 жыл бұрын
@Dudebro13454 Bro The songs were more than likely recorded in 1991/early 1992. _I'm Your Baby Tonight_ era didn't really "end" until early 92. Her voice still had that sound quality on songs like _I'm Every Woman,_ _I Have Nothing,_ & _I Will Always Love You._ Those songs were all recorded in a spinto sounding tessitura vocal placement. But when she sang them live post-1992, its sung in a mezzo vocal type placement. _I Have Nothing_ is another song she couldn't sing live, the way it was recorded in the studio. _I'm Every Woman_ famous *G5/G#5* notes were always pre-recorded or just never sung live either. She still was able to slay the songs tho. But it was the first time where she wasn't "matching" the studio difficulty LIVE, as she easily did pre-1992. I just think her tessitura finally dropped down to a mezzo, after having Bobbi K, and the songs were originally recorded when she was still a spinto, 1985 - 1992.

She was still pretty but I hated them ugly ass wigs(well some of them). You know that was Clive idea. She was too "black" looking with her own hair. She didn't like it at first. Robyn said it really bothered her and her self esteem. Thank you for speaking on them old white women wigs.
