The short film ends abruptly, but also gives to think all may well turn out in the end. A cure may be found, and if not, she dies in the hands of someone who really does love her. There are so many opinions about Joan that I don't think anyone knows the truth. Credit should be given to her. From lack of education and raised in poverty and abuse, she created "Joan Crawford," and she studied her craft from visiting sets in the silent days. I believe Christina Crawford's accounts, but I , who had wonderful parents, did things that would look horrendous in a book, The book is good. The movie is like a vignette-embellished- of Joan's misdeeds. Even Christina has said they were highly exaggerated in the movie. I would like to see a biopic that focused on her horrible childhood, and how by sheer will, turned herself into a high class lady.

She goes from a calm delicate breeze to a raging windstorm with hints of hurricane possibilities. Then “BAM” it’s over ! Real tears , real emotion , true kindness . Tragic script though. How much pain does one woman have to take in her life. At least the husband could have suffered as well considering his disloyalty to a woman who appears to be dedicated, loyal, kind , loving and generous. Reminds me of my own pathetic suffering due to the selfishness of another. But hey …. at least this short film gave me some perspective. It would've been much better for the doctor to have told her husband that she was going to die, and not to tell her and just treat her lovingly for the remainder of her life. Maybe he would've held off on getting involved with someone else and would not have wanted to take the remaining time for granted and hurt her right before she died. It wouldn't have been too long before he'd be free to start a new relationship after she was gone, and he wouldn't have had to feel the guilt of hurting her.

I admire her talent and determination, her work ethic and countless examples of her generosity, her appreciation of her fans and most of all her loyalty to her friends. As a gay man I was in awe of how she stood by her friend and fellow actor William Haines at a time in their industry when such allegiance took real integrity and courage. In contrast Christina's legacy and claim to fame is that she was motivated by money to exploit her famous, deceased mother in the pursuit of notoriety and personal gain. I trust history will remember them appropriately.
