My wife and I enjoy your videos. We highly recommend Sax-Zim Bog in Northern Minnesota. Great opportunities for boreal species, especially Great Great Owls and Northern Hawk Owl and even the Snowy Owl you are missing.

Thank you John, appreciate it. Tbh, Sax-Zim Bog is probably top of our list depending how this winter is looking. If Nov/Dec aren't too mild, we'd like to try to get there. Sara's number one wished for bird is the Great Grey Owl.

Loved seeing the eBird process! As much as I love eBird, it's not the most intuitive to use when you're first getting started so I think it's great to see the detailed process. Also liked the detail about how to differentiate the Eurasian Teal from the American Teal. I would definitely enjoy more information like this about specific field marks you two are using for confirmation when you come across a new bird for the year. Keep up the great work! You happened to be the first birding KZitem channel I got into and now I'm spoiled because you're production value is so much better than almost every other birding channel!

Thanks for the comment and feedback. Will definitely try to include some bird talk where the footage allows for any extra details I can share 😊 Also appreciate the feedback on the production value 👍

That's a lovely Fox Sparrow. We rarely get Red Fox Sparrow out here in California and when we do they're mostly the less red zaboria subspecies from western Canada.

Amazing year so far❤I've been to a location 6 times for a snowy owl and have been unlucky. That's how the game goes .lol Texas is a mega winter spot for birds. That would be a fantastic place to add to the goal. And their food is delicious. An Ontario spot would be Kenora area for birds like Ptarmigan and magpies. Keep the videos coming and good luck❤

Thanks Derek. Texas is outside of our "allowed area" for the challenge, but it's somewhere we'd love to visit in the future (plus Arizona and others). Somewhere northern (like Kenora) is under our consideration, for sure 😊

Yeah, we are thinking somewhere coastal could be good.... Nova Scotia, Newfoundland (I've never been) or somewhere USA, perhaps. But Puffins would be a great add 😊

Congrats on seeing the eurasian green-winged teal! That was so nice and smart of you to share your process with us, of how you choose where to go birding. I think many people will appreciate that. No snowy nor bohemians but you gave it a great shot, and the fox sparrow came through for you guys. I love fox sparrows, they're impossible to mix up with any other sparrow species due to size and red plumage. Laughed so hard in part 1 where you tease the teaser! saying you've no idea where you'll be going 🤣 As for your question, where to go in fall or winter, you'll have to rely on another viewer's suggestions 😳but I know I've always wanted to drive where huge flocks of either Snow geese gather on migration and/or Sandhill cranes, so that's my not-so-helpful reply. Thanks again, you two, for sharing your birding experiences with us. I get so excited when I see you've uploaded a video and always watch and like, but don't always have a chance to comment. Please know each video is very much appreciated and enjoyed whether I comment or not. Thanks again

Thanks for letting us know you enjoy watching, we appreciate it. I don't want to give you too many spoilers, but we might see some Sandhill Cranes soon (a trip over Easter). I'd also be keen to a large flock of Snow Geese! Glad you liked the tease. Completely unplanned 😂 Just shows that this is all just made up as we go along lol

Great capture of the deer eating from the bird feeder 😊 They are quite tame at that location from what I remember from my visits there, they didn’t behave like deer that’s for sure.
