the goal is to get old, not die young. Beauty deepens beyond the physical and material when you age. Agreed , though, the sad part is illness and death... inevitable.

What's the answer, grow old or die, for what I have seen, there is little dignity in death, I respect old people, but a lot don't, growing old, you have no choice!!!! 🇬🇧🐩🐩🐩🐩

She wasn't called Grace for nothing I loved her. I truly did. And I was totally devestated when this tragedy happened when she was only 52. A few years ago I went to the French Riviera and to Monaco and lighted a candle for her. In my mind I told her how I admired her. Bless you, Grace. You won't ever be forgotten.

I believe these were her poetry readings she did. Rumors were that Rainier didn’t want her to finish her MGM contract and he was also pretty controlling. So I think this was her way of artistic freedom.

I heard that the people of Monaco, the actual citizens are so conservative that they can't see her doing things that a royal consort should not be doing. If Hollywood had offered her a more conservative role, it will be fine but I guess she would not want 'safer roles'. Either being a princess or an actress requires a lot of time and energy, she barely had time for her kids, so I think it's for the best.

In the years when Grace reached middle age - 70s and early 80s - fashion for women her age was not terribly flattering and usually added years rather than detracted them. It's a shame really, though she remained a very lovely woman until the day she left us.

Ms. KELLY was a beautiful, classy woman. She managed to symbolically, 'hit a bases loaded home run, in marrying Prince Ranier and stumbling into Monte Carlo culture and society. Her deceasement was quite a tragic reality. I was extremely impressed with her film event, To Catch a Thief, she displayed a solid performance, in which, along with classic Gary Grant. Cary and Grace made a formidable couple. RIP Ms. Kelly, and once again, thank you for many memories....

Reading poetry is one thing but I don’t like the painfully slow, affected way upper class American women were supposed to speak in the 1950s. She and Jackie Kennedy were icons but purposely made themselves sound so bizarre that I don’t like to listen to them. Marilyn Monroe too sometimes. Lucille Ball and Kate Hepburn spoke relatively normally and good for them.

@thekingofmoney2000

YTfancol It's a mid-Atlantic accent, very common among Hollywood stars from her era. People were taught to speak that way in drama schools and boarding schools in the US. Most celebrities and the upper classes in America, had similar accents. Just watch any old Hollywood movie from the 30s, 40s or 50s and you'll hear many accents like hers.
