This is a very lovely song but it was the beginning of the end 4 rose royce.. Hidden forces were at work playing on the lead singers intelligence telling him that he should get more than the others are that he should branch out on his own . This happened to a lot of groups.. Atlantic Starr, Switch, greed is a m.f.

Correction! The Guy that's Singing this Song had/has a VERY Limited Vocal Range and was VERY JEALOUS of "Rose"(Gwen Dickey) getting the Attention as "Rose Royce. He was THE main instigator that made her Quit the Band, move to England and become a Hit there. She even put out a Solo Album that Hit the Charts in The U.K. Where's His Solo Album? Go to Their "Instagram" account and you won't Believe How he's Saying that He is The Leader AND the Founder Of "Rose Royce"! The Late Great Norman Whitfield Founded "Rose Royce"(Fact Check) and Wrote arranged and produced ALL of their Songs, including this One! Has this Guy Lost His Mind????

What a magnificent Band from the 70's, this Song is one of my Old Time Favorites💥💯💯, although there was only one Female in this group (Beautiful Voice To Boot), I seen an episode on T.V. One Network's UNSUNG featuring Rose Royce, although Gwen Dickey Sung Lead on the Majority of their Hits, it seemed that the Male co-lead vocalist wanted Equal Time on Lead vocals, however their Producer wanted her to Continue as the First lead vocalist, of course other problems would follow Down the road, she appeared tired of it All 😒,who really knows accept the Band itself, they were SO--- DYNAMIC TALENTED group of Musicians, Vocalists 🥰🥰🥰🥰.

Black music/artist of the 50s 60s and 70s is almost unparalleled. Both black and white music of that era was equally enjoyed on both sides without any reservations. White music today is certainly nothing to brag about but the black culture and music is a total tragedy in my opinion. Black music today for the most part is nothing more than a rant about violence and sex. i’m sure most of the older black artists that are still around today must be totally embarrassed and saddened that their great legacy and contributions to American music has morphed into this ridiculous ungodly rant. I don’t guess we’ll ever see the likes of the great Jerry butler… Brook Benton, Sammy Davis Junior, the stylistics, the spinners, Gladys Knight so on and so on. 🥹
