Due to track maintenance, (6) trains were split in 2 sections, with the first being between Pelham Bay Park and 125th Street, and the second being from 149th Street Grand Concourse to Brooklyn Bridge City Hall. Due to the lack of access to get trains from the Westchester Yard, which is where the (6) normally gets it’s trains from, the (6) burrowed some of Jerome’s, (4), R142/As. On Saturday, the (6) only burrowed two, both of which being R142s, but Sunday, they used 3 R142s and 2 R142As. In my opinion, I believe that was an L move, being that Sunday should be the day where things die down, not spice up. I wasn’t expecting any R142As on the (6) this weekend thanks to Saturdays trash. But here we are…
I also don’t know why, but a lot of southbound (6) trains used a Diamond 6 Train program, and a few northbound (6)s in Manhattan still has the “This is a Pelham Bay Park bound 6 train” (with at least one having the express announcement). I guess that ever since the (6)’s NTT removal, the announcements have mostly been untouched or fixed, with the exception of “fixing” the damn “The next (and last) stop is”, which in my opinion was a complete ruin for the entirety of Lexington Avenue’s lines.
An action video will soon commence once I get my storage together, filmed on Sunday December 10th 2023.
