I cannot believe that I never saw any of those books before (or several others you have shown). I did have the early Concordance, technical manual, and blueprints and made the models in the 1970s. Then other things interrupted my Star Trek interest when during my high school years. I was in college during the 1980s so I never went to any bookstores even though I still watched Star Trek TOS, movies (always on the first night) and then TNG when I could. Also, I had my girlfriend, later my fiancé, and then my wife, who did watch TNG with me on a weekly basis, but that was about it during that timeframe. I was able to purchase and read the numbered novels because after marriage, we both went to Waldenbooks and B. Daltons in the mall. She liked to read, too, but her likes were mysteries and books by Michael Creighton and Robin Cook. One of my favorite fan fiction Star Trek stories had something about Kirk escaping through an all-night shoe store. Hope this all didn't bore you (or other readers). We made were able to visit Nashville a few times since we lived in the Tri-Cities for thirteen years. I really enjoy watching your site so keep up the good work!

Hi Greg! Thanks for the kind words. And no, your story wasn’t boring in the least. One of the more amazing things that I’ve come to realize here on KZitem is that our passion calls us from so many different backgrounds - but our life experiences reveal many surprising parallels in our stories.
