Certain animals like the albino killer whale have certain protection they are most likely tagged which makes them illegal to be hunted and tags are tracked so if it is killed or taken they can find the person and punish them

Fun fact: Did you know that Orca’s are actually dolphins? From what I can remember a group of men on a boat saw black and white dolphins (orcas) killing whales so they called them Whale Killers and at some point we switched the words around and now we call them Killer Whales

Iceberg is an adult male who was first spotted in 2012. The Orca Network expert shown in the video identifies this orca as a juvenile male born in 2018.

Frosty is gorgeous.❤ People have to be careful about standing so close to orcas. They can snatch you up and drag you to the bottom and you will drown. To them its just playing. You really have to be careful.

It looks like 2 are white. When the camera/drone is focused on the large one there’s a smaller white whale off to the right. I wish they were both covered.

Tl'uk is the only white/gray killer whale in this pod. The other 'white' one you saw was simply an adult whale swimming with its side more towards the surface. .

That isn't him. He is a 2 year old named something like Tanuk it means bright moon. But this up in Pudget Sound and Iceberg I believe stays in like Russian waters. (Sorry I know my spelling may be off I'm really tired).

thank god they’re orcas, not dolphins. Well orcas are technically dolphins but you know what i’m trying to get at. Bottle nose dolphins beat up other dolphins in their pod with any different skin appearance. If there is a dolphin with spots on its skin, other dolphins would torment it and bully it.

Bottlenose dolphins have been known to attack other species of dolphins and porpoises. But adult bottlenose can develop some spots on their bodies and they are never "tormented" by other members of the pod. Podmates can play roughly or have little spats, just like any family. But not sure where you got the idea that they attack eachother for no reason.

T'luk and Iceberg are different whales. T'luk lives in the pacific northwest and Iceberg is Russian. The 2 populations dont meet or breed together as they dont speak the same language.

It's an albino. Albinos of different species are not always the same.

There are different genetic disorders that can case a lack of pigment. He is NOT an albino. In recent years T'luk has developed dark coloration around his nose. It could be leucism or another disorder. Without blood tests its unknown.
