It is rare. Extremely rare. And very uncommon. For a game made by Japanese people to not have the music done by a Japanese person. It is even rarer. And ever so most uncommon. For a Frenchman to channel daftpunk vibes into the realm of space as we know it. And still top the Japanese counterpart who has been into RPGs since childhood... during the golden era of the PS2. For UFO, just keep punching it's minions/buildings for health, until you kill the UFO. Still one of the harder bosses, but once you know that you can just keep getting health out of the minions and buildings, it's just a matter of wearying out the UFO. Same goes for the Thug Boss Giant Clank Battle. Swamp Monster 2 can be very hard without the right tools. There is a way to cheese that boss though, use the Ratchet deploys to get it to attack those. Sometimes you can completely break the boss AI by doing that, making it harmless. I threw a deploy at one of the rocks, and the Swamp Monster couldn't hit it, so it just stared at me or stared at the deploy. I literally just chilled with the Swamp Monster for a good five minutes before killing it lmao.

Because these games had pretty high production values, gotta remember were made by some of the best devs in the industry that pushed what the PS2 was capable of. Not just for fun challenging platformers but world and mission design, characters, action, cutscenes, music, 60fps, everything. I feel like what made them special was they strived to be more than goofy tedious collectathons like alot of 3D platformers before them, and didn't let the past hold them back on making sincere, kick ass games that pushed what the technology could accomplish.

@@afsan2321 It depends on region. Back in those days, games had different versions in different regions. NTSC (North America) was 30 or 60fps, and PAL (Europe, Australia, etc.) with a slightly lower 25 or 50fps but a slightly higher resolution. Japan would often have a third variant labelled as NTSC-J. The reason was that TVs typically refreshed at the frequency of the power grid: 50 or 60Hz. Digital TVs don't necessarily have to do so, but CRT screens were still common when these games were being made, and I think even the PS3 had the framerate difference for that reason.

Hearing all these amazing p2 era soundtracks on badass speakers or headphones makes me sad that the tv audio quality wasn't good enough to give the full experience of these tracks, like the warble in the swamp monster fight, never heard that til now.

unless a tv litteraly had TOSLINK/OPTICAL output which i doubt many tv's had. unless really high end or, unless you had a reciver back then i guess.

I really miss this PlayStation era. We had so much diversity in games and it’s not really the same anymore. Still good tho don’t get me wrong

Damn straight it is. Well, I kind of like up your arsenal more, but going commando is my second favorite.

People tell me I missed out on so much, This is the only Ratchet and Clank game I could never find for sale anywhere on the PS2. I have played and beaten every other R&C on the hardest difficulty but I never got to experience this one and people are saying it was the best. :\

***** I still could never find that, sadly enough. It either sold out too fast or I'm just not looking good enough. Gamestop did have one, but they literally wanted $80 for it. Although I did luckily manage to get the Jak and Daxter trilogy collection and Sly 4.

Absolute fucking legend. This is the greatest masterpiece of a game my eyes ever crossed. I never regret playing it. The first 2 games had potential mainly the first, i just wish to death they kept every aspect of style from the original and made the next games exactly the same but the only difference being, planets, weapons, bosses, mobs, and armor, etc

I absolutely love this game. This is my all time favourite Ratchet and Clank game. Do all Ratchet and Clank songs help you to relax and fall asleep cause that would be extremely splendid if you can be able to.

Nothing will ever top the music of this and the first one. Every track is unique, each one an absolute banger. I'm upset that the new games music was kind of put on the backburner.

Unpopular Opinion: I actually enjoyed the space combat levels. Were they the best levels in the game? No. But was the music FIRE and the weapons overpowered? YES!
