The production should be higher with Travis Scott in my opinion what he did with artists such as James Blake, Tame impala and the Weeknd is out of this world. The way he can consistently mesh psychadelic beats and vocals with the calm swift melodies from those artists is the tip of the mountain that you would get with psychadelic rap. Plus the concerts he performs the way he can get a crowd hyped for a psychadelic song is something I've never seen most artists do. Concert themes to the way he takes he's time to carefully organise pyros, lighting and sound he is top tier.

Ive watched a lot of these rappers perform live - Kanye is a great live performer. So much energy, voice control on point, remembers his lyrics, no lip syncing and keeps the performance real. At certain points if the audio engineer drops the track too early or late, Kanye stops the show and says ‘nah Mike not like that, on beat, start it again’ he is a perfectionist and it shows in his live performances too.

@sultan788

@@Football101s I agree with the tier list thing, that's always confusing to see on every tier list I see It should be something like: 2 / 1 / 0 / -1 / -2, from 2 positive, an average, to 2 negative However, the 50 score being an average is relative. 70 actually makes sense as an average for rap Yes, 50 is the average on a general number line or percentage, but when it comes to skillset in rap or music, most aren't going to be around 50 since music is overall more enjoyable than hated and artists will only release music once they think it's good, meaning there's more positive results within the data pool, which moves the average up Also, the skill ceiling is incredibly high when looking at rappers who are within the 90s+ range, which would stretch out the range at higher levels. So most will be at 70, but either impossible to find 30s and below or 95s and above

I think songwriting/song structure would be a better category to explore than versatility If a young artist like JID is great at what they do and can give you that consistently, I don’t see a reason to knock them for not branching out yet. If that’s an unpopular take, at the very least I think it should be weighted less than the other categories. I’m not gonna give someone like Jay-Z a major hit to his score because he ain’t singing on shit, he’s a rapper for a reason A songwriting category would be a good idea because it encompasses all the things lyricism and flow can’t. This would help artists like Travis who are definitely not great lyricists but construct well written, compelling song structures to compensate.
