Right after it was heard, the following words were said by the person at the station : Hello Hello! Can you hear us? We are broadcasting the last Polish radio communication. Today, German troops entered Warsaw. We send brotherly greetings for Polish soldiers fighting at hel peninsula, and anybody fighting whatsoever, regardless of the place. Poland is Not Yet lost! Long Live Poland! After that, the station was blown up by Poles in order to stop German Propaganda from going into the Radio. *Long Live Poland.* Sincerly, someone from Poland.

Most of these alarms are fake. For example, the 1902 Guatemalan alarm is recorded from a music box which didn't start production until 1905. In addition, many countries' alarm systems - if they had one - were simply that - alarm systems, using the ol' "weeeeeeeewoooooooooo"

For those who don't know pre 1960 "alarms" (like poland, Japan and guatemala) are actually the radio station jingles they would play before anouncement. Not eas at all. Edit : also most of the country shown didn't even exist at the time shown on the video.

Personal rating based on how scary they are. Indonesia (2018) - 7/10 just kinda creepy Afghanistan (2001) - 9/10 feels like the end of the world Indonesia (1950) - 10/10 sounds like some sort of horror ice cream commercial song South Korea (1950) - 5/10 more of confusing than creepy China (1937) - 8/10 sounds like something from a bad ending in a game. Japan (1945) - 9/10 too peaceful, would be very scared, especially if I'm in a certain backrooms level. Germany (1945) - 9/10 now THIS is a sound coming from a horror ice cream commercial, less scary than the 1950 Indonesia one but is more likely to be mistaken as an ice cream commercial theme just because. Poland (1939) - 0/0 don't really have an opinion on this one. Cook Islands (1913) - 8/10 just gives me a bad vibe like if someone's or something's behind me. Argentina (1922) - 2/10 kinda getting happy vibes honestly. Argentine (2002) - 11/10 it's like something is crawling in the vents.. Guatemala (1902) - 8/10 sounds familiar. Vietnam (1964) - 9/10 gives me bad childhood vibe Saudi Arabia (1924) - 10/10 no comment Saudi Arabia (1991) - 8/10 sounds like something coming from a horror movie when the killer appeared and almost killed the main heroine. The question is, why is this an alarm? 🧐 Colombia (1903) - 4/10 kinda sounds nice. United kingdom (1939) - 5/10 kinda eerie but I like it United Kingdom (2001) - now THIS is a legitimately working alarm because it's loud AF Spain (1939) - 4/10 eerie Venezuela (1978) 9/10 sounds like death Russia (1948) - 5/10 no comment Albania (1997) - 10/10 HWTA THE FAWK Tajikistan (1919) - 7/10 ghosts Bangladesh (1923) - 1/10 loud Romania (1953) - 0/0 honestly idk Mozambique (1923) - 9/10 no Malaysia (1942) - 8/10 why is screams of eternal agony and sounds of chainsaws or any type of sharp machine's sound an alarm. Croatia (1996) - 9/10 ghosts doll movie vibe Argentina (1995) - 8/10 uhhh Brazil (1998) - 11/10 THE VOICE SCARED ME Serbia (1999) - 6/10 prison escape sounds Yeah. I don't have a life so if you're gonna ask why I took my time writing this comment, well, don't.

the calmer the scarier in my opinion.Just imagine, you are in Japan in 1945 and your mother is making your family dinner. You are all laughing with each other and having fun, when you hear a calm lullaby coming from the radio, and a minute later, something happens, maybe a huricaine, maybe a tornado, maybe an earthquake, and lets say that kills you, that means that would have been the last thing you ever heard. For me it isn't how loud and annoying the alarm is, but it is the calm alarms in a not so calm time.Anyways nice video!

every EAS alarm that was at or before 1950 was likely calming because they thought the would was going to end. in the WW2 era practically every country thought that this was the end for the entire world. hence the terrifyingly calm EAS alarms, they didnt want people to panic when they 'inevitably' died out due to the war.
