What an extremely pleasant surprised being mentioned on your channel. Thank you for that detailed break down. Even though I am pleased with my results in retrospect I probably would've done a couple things differently, such as more focus on the temporal points. Still, great to get some attention from you dude; I admire your channel's evidence based approach towards hair loss.

Interesting subject;) Thanks for the comments, Aaron. Just to clarify, I had two bad surgeries in 1992/93 and each surgery left a separate (and wide) strip scar. Yes, I had two. After that, I was surgery free as my hair continued to fall out till I eventually went past NW6 and rediscovered the transplant process with Dr. Wong. The first surgery consolidated the two scars into one and still got 2406 grafts, which was a miracle back in 2002. None of my surgeries in the early 2000’s were bad. I needed a scar revision after my third with Dr. Wong but that was the extent of the negative with him. It was fixed beautifully. I also didn’t have nine strips. I had seven strips (including the scar revision), two FUE surgeries, one of which was an experiment by Dr. Hasson and one experimental body hair procedure with Dr. Wong before the final “real” FUE surgery which you referenced in this video. It’s a lot of info so I know it’s easy to miss some of the points. I also didn’t say I wouldn’t go through my journey again. I said that if I knew back then what I know now I probably wouldn’t do it because it meant living for nine years like that early image you showed. It was a miserable time for me as it was the majority of my twenties that I dealt with the problem. In the end, I’m thankful because if the life lessons I learned.

At 7:28 did the doctor remove them with the usual FUE punch like they do from the back? Wouldn't that leave FUE scarring where they removed them on the hairline? Wouldnt it suck to have visible FUE scars on the hairline

I know for the fact that it does leave scarring but Matt's complexion is pretty light toned which may match the scar texture so it may blend in. But for people with darker complexions it may be more visible due to the contrast.

Whether or not one would go through the hair transplant journey in hindsight obviously depends on one’s results. Personally, my results have been rubbish, so I completely regret it. Whereas someone like you who has had great results would do it all over again. The reality is, most people have avg to below avg results, but when you see good results on youtube it makes you think that that can be you. But that just isn’t reality.
