Got to be careful popping panels off or you will break all the plastic fasteners and need to replace them and remove the pieces that broke off inside the door those will rattle. Every car make is the same. Source, i do what he does for a living. I have pretty good certainty at this point i have removed the door panels off every usdm make of car. Ford, jeep, and volvo you can end up cutting metal off though depending on the repair and how much the customer wants to spend on labor. If the panel doesnt attach to it, and nothing inside the panel attaches it, it is just extra shit the engineers stuck there last minute for crash testing.

Your telling me you can’t take off some panels and screws to replace a small non complex part. And you can go to the junk yard for the part and get it for $5.00 bucks. Stop taking it to the dealer!!!! No matter what kind of dealership it is. Bmw dealership just charge so much because they know their customers most likely have money. Same with mercedes and Cadillac…. I own a bmw this is my second one by the way. And have always done the work myself. I’ve never found myself breaking my wallet not once.
