I agree. One of my top 5 of the year is by Watch City Cigars called Watch City Slices and it is similar to these as well with a slight rum topping. I would recommend it to those who like Stirling or Irish Flake but without the nicotine.

Nice review, the RR is definitely stronger! I remember the first time I had Sterling, it kinda rocked me back on my heels lol! I hope you and the family are doing well, take care my friend!

First I liked IF better, but it shifted into liking Stirling bette. I don’t find it stronger in nicotine then the Irish. It does tastes bolder, but at first I thought Irish had the upperhand in that matter. Great review again botl

I think I like IF a bit better myself but I have to smoke more to be sure. They both are good though!

Ha, not that it smells bad, just that it triggers the feeling. I has the same thing for waffles for years, and who doesn't like waffles?

It’s dark fired Kentucky. I think that is what you meant , not dark fired Virginia

I think it’s a special strain of African or Indian air cured dark fired Virginia, Gawith Hogarth use a lot of it.

@@aromatix5741 I think brown Irish twist has that leaf that you are describing in it. I think brown Irish twist is a very strong straight Virginia.......?

@@thepipesmoker5803 Yep I think so,and Maybe Brown #4 or Dark Plug. I find it has a cigary or spiced meat type of taste, I could be wrong about all this. Even still the Tin of Irish Flake says "Even portions of Burley , virginia and Dark fired virgina"

Hey Jeff, good comparison. I haven't tried either of those blends, and probably won't; I'm just not a burley fan. I've had Rattray's Wallace Flake, and it's ok. I definitely won't buy it again. Hope you are well, and take care!

Hey Jason, have you tried many over-the-counter blends , Like half and half, Carter Hall, Edgeworth ready rubbed match etc.? Those seem to be my favourite types of Burley-based blends But still have an aromatic quality to them.

@@aromatix5741 hey Jeff! No, I haven't tried any of those blends. I would probably like those, as I have enjoyed Sutliff Sugar Bucket and Wessex Burley Broadcut. I don't smoke them often, but I do like them well enough. I'll have to look into the OTC blends you mentioned. Thanks!
