Tashina England it's not really a tribe from what I was told. It's more of a clan where their ppl come and show other clans their songs they learned. Tlingit celebrations happen every two years and everyone comes to it to show their dances. But the clans show their dances based on what animal clan they follow. It's kinda hard explaining this in type haha

I love it too. My people are from the Great Smoky Mountains on the TN/NC border, we have nothing like this. So fun to learn about fellow Indigenous people and their cultures. We do, however, have "Indian dinners" with fried chicken, bean bread (kind of like a vegetarian tamale) and greens, all sorts of good food & dancing.

Ok 7 years later I also can ad my two cents. Check please also Tlingit people's from Alaska culture, they are of the same Na-Dené language family as are Navajo (Diné ).

@@dagger3570 No. Tlingit is a NATION, not a tribe. Tlingit & Haida Nation are composed of many different clans (clan - kwaan), the Tlingit commenter was correct.

I tried singing along, but just knowing how to sing it isn’t enough. I need to know what it means, what it represents. I want to know it’s meaning
