I always loved him but he never got a great push, there was amazing talent at the top so maybe that played into it. With that said I love Blackman even to this day.

I'll never forget how completely mindblown I was when I first learned that The Disciple was Brutus Beefcake / The Bootyman. For whatever reason I just never connected the pieces as a kid but now as an adult it's obvious since all he did was grow out a (very good) beard and hit the tanner.

I didn't have access to much rasslin' as a kid and I only had a handful of WCW shows (taped off Channel 5) and one WCW PPV from around 2000 to watch. It's gonna be a while yet but my younger self is gonna explode when these episodes of RTW come around.

The V&D vs HV match reminds of what I said at the time: with the constant silliness around the world tag titles, WCW should have revived the US tag belts and done real feuds and storylines around them.

My only explanation for the break up of the Steiners, Road Warriors and the trouble with the Rock and Roll Express is that the pink slime from Ghostbusters 2 was flowing under the WCW and WWF arenas at this time. Thank god Steve Mufuggin Blackman had his Cyber Chuks to ward off the negative energy.
