🎉Wow, this is so awesome 👌 👏. Pretty crazy. It's like am actually watching the race too. Well done video. BTW, how did you manage to get closer to those race cars and inspect the parts?

The paddock area was open before the race and it helped that we met most of the racers before that day. It was like a reunion lol!

hhahah i'm always intrigued about the OSaka Kanjo honda events and street runs.. am building one with a front hood exit exhaust like US dragster instead of the whole exhaust piping to the rear...

Sounds like a wild build! It’s cool to see how similar and different Hondas are on both sides of the water. In Cali, we have a lot of clean and OEM+ builds while out on the east coast there’s a bunch of wild drag race Hondas. Definitely a good amount of clean builds out east too. However in Japan, most of the Hondas seem to stay true to all-motor and focus more on responsiveness for circuit use👍

Stock intake as well looks like. I know they do it because of racing class and rules. Or else they would most likely go all out with everything and maximize it all.

Yup, simple set up for this class but there is a class that allows for more modification as well👍

I believe so. Most of these cars have minimal mods for power increase, just built to be reliable, consistent and responsive.

Just guessing, but they probably follow the old FIA N1 spec or something close to it. The only mods allowed at the time were different ECU tune (stock ECU, just chipped and probably using higher octane gas), exhaust (straight pipe) and the header, but only the lower 2-to-1 piece, that's why the headers look stock from up top. Power was around 180PS. There is a video from Best Motoring with Gerhard Berger testing a 91 SiR in Suzuka that shows the specs and the power figure. Also, the Mugen catalogue from the time actually offered the lower header piece, ECU and many other parts.

Not necessarily in Japan but us Asians definitely can have some different appearances than what most would assume is common
