As a kid in the 60s, Ray Stevens was probably my first wrestling "hero". At one time, the fans voted him most popular AND most hated wrestler- that kinda says it all...

Wow !!! RCS ! Blast from the past ! ♥️ Thanks for playing this !! My oldest memory with him was when captain Lou turned on Snuka I don’t remember how the senecio played out but i just remember Lou was punching Super Fly in the face with rings on his fingers and The Crippler was restraining him. Then The Crippler power drove him onto the concrete outside the ring. Snuka bled out. Thanks for the flashback ! Great channel ! Love all the videos !

It's interesting hearing Vince doing his on camera voice work back in the 70s & early 80s. It's sooo different compared to now. Since the 90s he's been adopting this lower, gruffer way of speaking as though he's trying to sound like a badass.

Awesome stuff. WWE really needs to put out DVDs of the classic stuff. Too many kids out there under the impression that matches like DDP vs Raven, Hardys vs E&C, Rock vs Mankind -- et cetera.. are "old school wrestling." Even if the stuff doesn't sell as hotly, throw the fans a bone and dig through those archives!

Ray Steven's was married to a professional wrestler I don't remember her name. But he told Bobby Heenan she wasn't so tough he would have her on her knees begging every night. Bobby said Ray you never hit her did you? Ray answered no she would be on her knees yelling under the bed for him to come out and fight her like a man!!! He and Bobby are LEGENDS

In 1979, a new pro wrestling publication hit newsstands and magazine racks across the nation. It was Pro Wrestling Illustrated. When the first issue went to press, Ray Stevens was ranked at #8 in the now defunct American Wrestling Association (AWA). Also, he and Pat Patterson were ranked at #3 in the Tag Team Division.

ONE of the reasons Ray Stevens oould not make it in WWE of the last 15 years (yea, including the "Attitude Era") is that he did not need Don Vinnie hack writers to put stupid words into his mouth like a parrot-the Crippler was great on the mike even if he said nothing.

#1. Vince is not a legit 6'2" because I am 5'11" and met Vince at the airport. When he's not wearing 2" elevator heels, he is 6' tops. #2. I'm seriously not. hahaha~ I don't hate Cena at all. I just think he's repetitive and boring. It's always the same line "I am the champ" "You can't see me" "You want some come get some" blah blah blah..... I'm just sick of him. But this guy Ray Stevens, doesn't say a single word, but it's suprisingly more entertaining than a guy like Cena who keep running his mouth.. Just shows that inaction is action. Maybe if John Cena just STFU once, he'd be more entertaining! lol~
