Even in shooting on a wrestler to retaliate for hurting his brother, Raymond Rougeau was a total gentleman about it.

If he had a gruff voice this would sound a lot like something that I've been hearing yeah someone recently said "if you have a problem with me say it to my face and let's go" but men could be men back then.

THis is why you don't go into business for yourself in the ring. Classy move by Raymond.

Had to add to favorites, because I love how Karma came back to haunt the wrestler who was abusive. Raymond stands between 5'9 and 5'10, and he was able to bring justice against someone standing 6'3 weighing 260 (lbs) who was a veteran and probably knew very well how to carry out a street fight and send his opponent to the ICU. I love how humble, but tough Raymond is in any interview that he carries out (along with Hannibal and how intelligent he is about the business to carry out the best interviews on the web). He also has to be the best example of what it is to be a 'man' without gloating about it.

Great names...Louis Laurence, Gilles Poisson and a whole bunch of guys I grew up watching as a kid! Raymond Rougeau as a very young man was an exciting wrestler to watch (and I also saw his Dad as well)...Armand was a good wrestler, like his brothers, but sadly I believe he suffered a back injury and that ended his career.

These interviews are wonderful! The lighting and sound have improved a great deal. Thanks for recording all of this great history. It's still a little hard to hear the interviewer.

Moral to the story: Don't mess with the Rougeaus if you don't want a receipt.

Grew up watching the Gran Prix promotion; by then it had taken over the Montreal area and beyond. Ray talks about a lot of really topnotch old school guys who were over long before anyone actually knew them. Zaranov Leboeuf was one of the Yukon Lumberjacks, if I remember right in 3WF during the 70's. In the 80's, he played a loud, crazy heel who generally got dq'd in the TV matches...always wondered what had happened to him...I don't think Ray would lie about something like this.

I wonder how the feud between the British Bulldogs and the Rougeau brothers would have ended if Dynamite had heat with Raymond and not Jacques.

Dynamite had heat with both brothers, but he focused on Jacques because he knew how tough Ray really was. He chose to attack Jacques while Ray was on crutches.

Raymond would've eaten both of them for lunch. Very, very tough guy, just like his dad.

From what I hear, Dynamite never had heat with Jacques either. He was just a bully.
