I tripled my Blade 15 (144hz, RTX 2070) battery life by undervolting, disabling cpu turbo, using intel speed shift, and disabling background apps. It went from two hours to six hours of real-world use. Also the fans are now completely shut off while they used to be constantly on before, and the temps are somehow better despite it. Crazy how much difference a few tweaks can make.

@@igaololo6267 nothing i think, the cpu was just wasting power by being overactive for no reason and also running dozens of useless background apps. The only theoretical downside that I can think of is a slower system due to limiting the cpu's power, but I haven't noticed any slowdown in my use.

*(Note: A repost, I accidentally deleted the old post while editing)* The per-key RGB lighting is AFAIK only available on US models while on UK/EU models it's single-zone RGB lighting, which sucks for us outside the US... Also, Razer has a really, really curious configuration "logic": It's not clear how and why they decided which screen would go with which GPU and design, which increases the price significantly if you want a specific feature (screen/GPU/etc) because in order to get feature X you will also have to pay for features Y and Z. And, to top it off, some of the feature pairings make no sense whatsoever... Just to give one example, in order to get the office-looking Mercury White design, you have to go with the most extreme gaming screen choice (the 240Hz panel) but most people looking for a neutral office design for office work, as with the Mercury White design, will be far more likely to want a 4k screen for office work - but they can't get this logical configuration combo for whatever reason. Another example is that Razer are not offering the Advanced Model with lower-end non-RTX GPU:s as in their Basic Model. Of course many will want to max out the specs on the Advanced Model but there's also many potential buyers who would love the Advanced Model's unibody aluminium design with either the 144Hz or 4k screen but without paying an extra $1000 for an RTX GPU and other bells and whistles - they simply want a nice-looking machine with reasonable GPU performance for occasional gaming. Just think of all the students who would want a MacBook Pro-like machine but can't afford the Advanced Model's overpriced RTX GPU and who at the same time don't want to settle with the less than impressive Basic Model given other comparable and cheaper non-Razer alternatives. I'm hoping that Razer's soon-to-be-released Studio Edition model (aimed at creative work) might address some of these issues but it will probably be another outrageously priced niche product. However, at least it will have the Mercury White design and a 4k touchscreen as defaults, though I fear that it will be also significantly less powerful in gaming because of its Quadro 5000 GPU (this would be ok if it was also cheaper but I doubt it) and there's a big chance they'll remove the RGB keyboard lighting from this model as well, which would be a shame. But for those of us outside the US, this Studio Edition model might be the only chance to get a Razer Blade that's fit for office work, boardroom meetings and the like...

We're at a really interesting point in gaming at the moment. With these laptops finally thin and light they can actually replace the Mac for day to day/ college tasks. While also competing against PC desktop setups at a similer price (once you have that monitor too) HOWEVER - what are we going to see in the next two years in reguards to cloud gaming? Will it be the norm to pay a subcription to play these games, but do it on a very regular laptop? I'm looking at it thinking my next computer could be a Blade 15, but then in a year would all my friends be playing the same games on something 10 times cheaper?

Although I'm not Tom, I can safely say that it does - or perhaps even smoother. I don't understand why people can't tell the difference between 144Hz to 240Hz, because it is a noticable difference. You can't see it, but you can feel it. That said, it isn't fair to compare your desktop PC to a laptop. There will be a difference in terms of performance no matter how you look at it. If you want a good laptop that runs smooth, then this (Razer Blade 15 Advanced - 2019) or Asus Scar 3 are good options..!

Does anyone know if any of the late 2019 advanced models sold in Europe (particularly in the UK store) have full backlighting including secondary keys? This information is so difficult to derive from Razer's store page. The store page states primary keys only, while showing fully backlit secondary key functions, while stating otherwise (US images?...). It's also inconsistent with the FAQs for the late 2019 advanced model, stating that it is fully backlit (there's no per country breakdown there). How is that possible that you see the difference of 240 Hz Panel. There is no game above 140 fps for his machine to run

All these reviews are great, but try using Razer for a few months when everything starts failing, overheating or even exploding (battery). Overpriced and the worst build quality ever. I've had my Razer Blade 15 for 4 months and I've already had two replacements. They wouldn't replace my third laptop from them, and it's now with them for repair! Over 3 weeks without it and not a word from them. Terrible customer care. All this for a $2700 laptop as well! I could have bought two other laptops for that money. I'm not the only one, just look at the customer reviews and not tech reviewers who have it for a couple of days.

No thanks. It is the crap QA at the factory as well as Razer's terrible customer support and warranty process...rather lack there of. If they care enough to rectify these small issues, only then would I consider giving Razer my money. Looking elsewhere for a PC laptop upgrade.
