Thank you. Yes it’s a bit of freestyle design but the hull was originally based around a VO65.

Wow! Impressive! Do you have some info, like plans, dimensions, weight, etcc? I would like to do the same home made. Thanks

Hi Alessio, Thank you for your comments! I did make some drawings for it. Will see if I can find them. But below are it’s basic dimensions.: 1220mm wetted length. 335mm beam 130mm height (at keel) 440mm keel fin 1.078m^2 main 0.610m^2 jib When I get home I can weigh it to confirm weights, but seem to remember it being around 5.5kgs...

Yes, it was last winter’s project, originally based around a VO65, but adapted for the foils.

Great job Thomas. I love the lines.Did you build the hull from scratch or a plan? If it isn't too much to ask do you have a build video of it? Really interested in your work.

Great job Thomas. I love the lines. Did you make that from scratch or a plan? Would you have more videos of it sailing or perhaps a build video. I'm really interested in your work.

All made from scratch. I normally build over a wooden frame, then make a composite hull from that, but for this one I tried 3D printing molds. Seemed to work well but took ages (much faster to build a wooden plug). I don’t have any other videos of this one. But will dig around for photos and see what I can do. You are also more than welcome to the CAD (very basic), the .igs files and the g-code.

3D printed? Impressive Thomas. How long did it take you to print the pieces? How did you put the hull together? Any leaks from the seams or entry points for the keel box and rudder? Are the servo mounts built into the hull as well? Sorry for all the questions but Im really excited on your work and how it sailed was just truly graceful. You have to make a collage video build and definitely more sailing videos of your VO65. Including you, there are only I believe 5 RC VO65 and VO70 builders and of the 5 only you and Reg Pierrot have foils on them but only you have both canting keels and foil. That's really impressive.

Angel Castr Reboredo, sorry I don’t actually have plans for it, but I could take cross-sections from the hull I have if that helps? And create sketches for the rest?! What method are you using to build it?

Angel Castr Reboredo You are right, getting the sections correct is critical to getting the hull to work. The smallest offset in one section (

Hi Perry, this boat is a one-off home build. My design and build.
Correct, in this video it isn’t foiling. Need more wind and speed to foil. But the foils are helping to keep it upright, and maximising the power of the sails with minimal keel ballast needed.
