I did a similar thing when my first RC broke. I didn't fix it, I tied a string to it and dragged it around behind me. I was just a young kid.

I would love to see Tamiya release the OG Astute again. Was my 1st car and it was awesome for it's time. Love the vintage

They'll never rere the Astute. It's flaw can't be corrected unless... you completely change the rear suspension...what Tamiya did, in the super Astute... and they rere'd the Super Astute. It was my second car, I still have it and I will NEVER get rid of it :) :)

We were tight on budgetr but as teenagers on Baker Street in London at 1am it was empty oh no bigwig, boomerang, hotshot, Fox, Falcon, Lazer, and black cabies we owned that street for 1 hour the midnight hour. No way now that's impossible, but I'm sure I saw a super sabre reach Selfridges on 27mhz. A star was born. You touched on something that I haven't heard for34yrs. We all had LED's

God, so many issues with the old mechanical speed controllers and 27mhz radio, I am so glad technology has advanced so much! Anyway, the M03? The M07 is the best Tamiya M chassis by far, just not old enough to run in events like the Iconic Cup. The M05 was pretty good too, I had one for a little while, awesome little car. I recently got a 2nd hand Super Clod Buster, the suspension and steering on the stock chassis are truly awful, but I loved it. Although mine has had many, many £'s spent on it and now it's a Mega Clod Buster😜

Love my M03 mini! Got two complete spare chassis’ in the loft just in case! I broke my original one as a kid and did the same as Carl.. thought well that’s broken and didn’t even think to look for parts, so it went in the basement… would have cost me about £5 to fix at the time. Earlier this year cost me about 50x more to get it working again and get the spares! Also built a Cobra this year to round out the childhood memories!

Nice work guys. I suppose I'm being greedy but I really wish Losi would get onboard the whole re-re scene with some of their old buggies.

What was great, when you had someone turn on their radio on the same frequency as yours and your car took off and smashed straight into a wall. Those were great times. Lol😂

While I have had a runaway due to a stuck MSC the worst one has got to be an 1/8 Nitro stuck wide open either due to interference or dead RX batteries etc and just my luck a possible faulty throttle return spring setup either way I lost radio control of the car on the back straight during a practice session the car was a 4WD 1/8 on-road .21 nitro car it broke through the boards at the end of the straight at or near full throttle and just kept going even after the engine ejected the cylinder head and most of the block that car rolled probably another 1/4+mi (402+ meters) or more afterwards or at least it felt like it either way it was a long walk back to the pits after fetching the car.

What does Mark think of the new Hornet evo?
@daysofnick
2 ай бұрын
I think Mark won't be sold, but if you gave him a grasshopper he would still make it to the B final joking apart he's a v.good driver on a budget with time as well. The new hornet Evo not cheap not for racing but does have Tamiyas I'm mean when you think of Tamiya you picture a Hornet or a hotshot in your mind
@bradkalman2353

@@daysofnick you know why expensive for what it is because it comes with full ball bearings and probably comes with hex drive hardware that is what you're paying for everybody asked so why don't they add hex drive hardware and ball bearings this is what happens. But you can race it in something maybe an Open class with other vintages.
