Hi mate great video. You reminded me why my nitro car's are in a big box in the shed. Where they belong. Brushless system all the way 👍😆🤣🤣

Been into RC for 20+ years and I still struggle with Nitro. Get them running sweet then 10 minutes later it won't start, or runs perfectly at home testing, take it out with ya mates for a bash and runs like a dog if it even starts. I have 2stroke large scale petrol and Brushless Bashers but still occasionally persist with the nitro because just as you said... When they do work they are such fun 😊

100% agree, i have very little patience with them! there more of a thing i will play with from time to time than rather be an option lol, petrol is good ( atleast no where near as temperamental as nitro )

The dramatic piano music...lolol. Great vid, man. They're neat engines to learn the basics of an ICE. Can you even get a piston/sleeve for those things anymore? Last time I messed with nitro was a TRX 2.5...LONG time ago. Lipo/brushless is the way.

The small holes in the body never worked well for me as a kid, not enough airflow. Gotta cut a bit window out in front of and behind the engine. Also, a quick easy temp check from back in the day was to spit on the glowplug. It should kind of sit there and boil for a few seconds before evaporating. That thing definitely got hot. Surprised it recovered as well as it did.

@Exodus2pt0 yeh more than likely, also the back needs airing as there's no in & out flow through the body so probably remove both on next run, running a shell makes massive difference to temps!
